I was influenced by a Youtuber for this, and did not regret!
I too am a victim of Emily D Baker's influence on this little thing. Having never bought any tumbler at this price range before, I was skeptical at first about what makes this thing so great save for the shape and handle which was the main reason why I bought it. Plus, it was my birthday, so this was a little treat for myself. When it arrived, I was surprised by the workmanship in this thing. Tip, if you hold your mug typically with your left hand, start screwing the lid from the side you want it to stop turning at, otherwise if you screw it facing the Stanley logo and you'll wind up having to hold it with your right hand. The threads were threaded that well. I dont know if other tumblers are like that but I've only ever bought cheap things before as I can't afford these kinds of luxuries before this, and they certainly don't do that. It is s t u r d y. Sturdy. Obviously don't start replacing your hammer with it, but it felt good in the hands (hand?). I know some people are advocating this for people who may struggle without a handled mug to drink from, but do note that it does have a bit of a weight to it when you actually have some drinks inside of it. Not much, but it does have a heft due to its shape and material. Holds hot drinks well, I've only been drinking coffee from it so can't really attest on the cold side of things. My only gripe is that the lid that covers the drinky bit is a piece of plastic, and while this one is sturdy, I don't know how long it'd last for me. Stanley seems to be selling replacements for them but they are out of stock. Once they are back in stock I'd be buying one, as I know I'm a bit of a klutz and WILL break something that is breakable.

Actually Life changing!
This mug is brilliant, forget cup holders in your car get this, I make tea directly in it, sometimes I place it on the dash in the car and it stays put very well. - No more half drunk cups - No more cold tea - Large size = hot tea for 4 hours ..... Living the dream!! - Drastic reduction in dishwasher usage .... I'm making money drinking tea .... living the dream - Excellent for herbal tea, stays clean and you can make money with reduced tea bag expense and on water and on electric - nirvana for tree huggers. Cons Too Expensive Can be tricky to get the opening in the right place but you get used to it Agree with others you need a strong grip to put the lid on or take it off properly, the flip cap is a vulnerable point of possible failure if you forget and apply pressure to it opening and closing it, once you know its ok but if you have a gorilla in the house they need educating! Hard to clean for man sized hands Very prone to tea staining, just experimenting with how to clean, all stainless steel items will get this from tea but it seems a bit worse than normal, and its hard to clean. Flip cap is very stiff to close properly but I rarely need to, if i did I am pretty confident it would be water tight enough to put it in a bag ( the right way up) Hope that helps

Tough-to-Tip
Having see Emily D Baker use this mug on her podcast. I have a cup that's large but it has a tapered base and difficult to move when it's full as there's the tendency to spill. So I thought I'd give this mug a try. Granted it's expensive for a mug. It's sturdy, and I don't have to worry about accidently knocking it over as the base has a rubber base that grips the surface it's on. I will be using this in a working environment. When you fill in the mug with hot water it's easy to carry it to and from your desk as the handle allows you to carry it. I don't screw on the lid immediately. I pop in a herbal teabag in and let it steep. Then remove the teabag after steeping, and then screw the lid on with the drink hole open. Depending on how you screw on the lid will put the drink hole either on the left/right of the handle making it easy to drink from whether you're left or right handed. I've provided photo's where the lid is screwed in for left or right handed drinkers. Also when the mug is filled up, the painted part of the mug is cold to the touch. But the beauty of this mug is the silver neck on the mug. This more or less heats up to the temp of the liquid inside of the mug giving you an indication of how hot the drink is inside. Whilst I'm not bothered about the warmth of the drink as I can drink it cold as well, I like this unexpected feature. So before you sip, touch the neck and if your fingers find it hot your mouth will too. Also I decided to fill the mug before I went home so I could have a brew when I got home. Whilst it was in my bag it tipped over and I got zero leaks. I recommend it.

Expensive but,
Without the lid on, it keeps my full pint (English pint) hot for a couple of hours with tasting like flask tea, with the lid on it’s the same as a thermos flask. In the truck, it stays where it’s put and doesn’t fall over.

Stanley 20oz Travel Mug.
Stanley Travel Mug, After using the Mug twice I've got to say that this Product is by far the best Travel mug I've ever had. Keeps your Brew hot for ages. Good wide base so won't tip over but it will not fit in any cup holder. 20oz cup so enough for a good Brew. I also have a 1.9L flask from Stanley and they are unbeatable.

Stanley Admirals tough-to-tip Mug.
Big fan of all things Stanley for years. The Admirals cup has the same quality. It’s the same stainless steel construction as other Stanley cups(not aluminium as stated on Amazon at the time of writing). Feels good in the hand. The top is plastic but has a reassuring strength to the mechanism. I work on site most of the time and wanted something rugged that will keep tea and coffee hot. Works really well. Tea made at 6am is still hot mid morning - cup does lose some heat through the plastic lid but no biggie. I also have the Stanley never leak trigger cup but it doesn’t fit in my cars drinks holder, but the tough to tip is ideal as it sits comfortably on the dash. I live in the U.K. so had to purchase this from Amazon U.S. - delivered within 10 days - great service. Overall really pleased and would recommend.

I have been using it everyday for my chinese tea habit. Great mug, ample size for whole day sipping, and just deep-scrubbing the interior with 3M stainless-steel sponge once in a while to keep it bright and shiny. Love this mug!

I bought this for daily mug but ended up storing it as part of my Stanley collection. It is just a bit odd for daily coffee mug. Could keep the temperature as promised, feels solid and its Stanley.

This mug is amazing!!!! I made my coffee this morning at 10am, and finished it at almost 3, and it was still burning my tongue with every sip.

Das Ding ist super. Hält lange heiß. Durch die größe und dem Gummifuß steht der Becher richtig gut und fest auf dem Armaturenbrett vom Dienstwagen. 👍🏻
