Used with antihistamines, decongestants and/or mentholated ointments, its oval, strong and long tapered shape connector "band" is designed against element failure & separation. Its smooth contour is easily hand-washed with soap and warm water before and after use to avoid contamination. We have had users continue use as long as 2 months and more with no degradation.
