Dorman 264-314 Engine Oil Pan Compatible with Select Chevrolet / Pontiac / Toyota Models

pulled the old pan, scraped the old rtv, applied whatever "ultra rtv" gasket the local parts shop had in stock to the new pan and installed it. 100 miles in no leaks. drain plug threads seem to be clean and cut well.

This Dorman product was like other Dorman products I have used in the past. Perfect! The price was good and so is the oil pan. One reviewer stated it leaked around the drain plug. I put water in it for 12 hrs and no leak. It’s been on the car and operating for 24th and no leak. I used the factory recommended Toyota FIPG and torque specs. Did not have to remove any crossmembers. Just a plastic splash guard and oil filter. The pan was not warped and needed no adjustments. Heavy gauge steel like the original. Just watched a few YouTube videos and cleaned all the surfaces with lacquer thinner till the cloth was clean. Scraped with a plastic scraper and followed up with emery cloth dipped in the thinner. Cannot get it to clean. This was for a 2005 Toyota Matrix by the way.

Replaced the pan on my Corolla '99 and just like before it was leaking from the drain port bolt. I was dumbfounded, after all that worked I had the same problem. Upon draining new oil I put in moments ago, I noticed the crush washer with the drain bolt was much smaller than OEM Toyota washers. So I placed a next day delivery of these washer, and upon replacement of the Dorman washer, NO LEAKS. I did have to sacrifice 4qrts of oil.I am at fault too for not noticing the included washer is significantly cheaper/smaller than OEM. But this is really poor QC on the Dorman's part.

its a oil pan, you can't love an oil pan. although if it was a boat i would have given it 5 stars.

This pan fit a 2003 Pontiac Vibe and works great. Just use the silicone sealer RTV after cleaning both surfaces thoroughly with alcohol, don't use a stupid cork gasket! Came with new oil plug and washer.

I encountered no problems with this product. It fit my vehicle just fine. It looked nice and seems durable as my original.

After installation the oil pan was leaking at the plug, I had to remove it and had to replace it. it was a lot of work you do not want to go through.very bad quality

Went on with no problems. Not a leak yet!

Update: Realized just before install that the oil plug bung was welded in crooked (see pic) so it would have leaked for sure. Ended up having to get a much more expensive pan from local shop because of time constraints. Will be returning this defective pan.Oil pan has ridges on the gasket surface. How did this get past quality control?! It looks like it was purposely ground down on the sealing surface before it was painted! I would return it however I need car the working today. Fingers crossed the silicone gasket makes up for these irregularities and it doesn't leak!

Perfect fit. Just one thing: you’re much better off using a RTC/silicone gasket or else you won’t Be able to use the stock screws.
