LamyNib for Safari, Vista, Joy, AL-Star - Black X-Fine

I had almost all the nibs from Lamy, all of them so smooth, my last one was an F and I was curious to try an EF.First of all the price... I think is too expensive to pay 9.44£ for a nib, however, the step from F to EF resulted in a finer line (good) but the feedback resulted to be quite scratchy, not smooth and fluid as the bigger brothers.Sometimes you can see the paper fibres getting trapped in the nib, currently has been an entire week that I am using it and it is working just fine, I am not extremely happy but I would give an honest 6.

Based on their advertising materials, fine and extra fine are about 50%-100% different thicknesses. However when I wrote a sentence in each they appeared to me indistinguishable. I was hoping for something extra fine like the Hunt 103 nib for dip pens but in fountain pen form.It is precisely made, switching nibs is a breeze, and ink started flowing shortly after the swap. But for ten quid, that is the least I would expect from pennies worth of material.

The nib is fine, but it is way too wide for my Safari pen, so not useable. I am assuming it's my error, but not really sure how! Also took an age to arrive.

My husband and I are Jehovah's Witnesses and we are writing a lot of letters by hand now. To write with this fountain pen helps against writers cramp. Good nip. No smudging, clear writing. I'm happy 😊

This was just what i needed, with my style of writing the medium nib was too thick. The nib was simple and easy to change.
