How tall are the counters?

The smallest ones like the cat and the baby are about one inch, while the mom and dad figures are about 2-3 inches. I'll post a photo for you in my review of them in my 4-year-old's hand.

Will these counters fit inside of an Easter egg?

Yes, the tallest ones are 2 and 3/8 inches which should fit. They are also somewhat flexible and could be slightly bent to fit an egg.
