This brace is absolutely amazing. I have tried and returned several because they offered no support. This brace has excellent support and the pump up part makes it just that much better. Some of the braces I've seen say that it's for heat and cold therapy but they don't come with the gel pack. This one did and the gel pack completely covers my shoulder, front, back, top, and side. I highly recommend this shoulder brace.

Great product, good quality

This is the exact concept for what I wanted. I use it daily for my full rotator cuff tear and partial bicep tendon tear (eventually I'll have surgery and may use this after) but two reasons they don't receive 5 stars:1. The directions are awful. I usually laugh at other reviewers that say something about some product doesn't work or is difficult but when I buy it I realize they clearly didn't read the directions. But I ALWAYS do thoroughly. These directions are just awful. Especially if you're using it on your left shoulder. I nearly gave up and sent back 3 times. Finally I skipped trying to understand the ridiculous sketch drawing and confusing description and just used logic and now it's easy to put on! They should create a YouTube demonstration and include link.2. There is a cut-out which allows the brace to close in on itself to fit multiple sized people (so I get it) but it also creates a 1.5" (approx) gap in icing right on the top outside edge of shoulder where I experience pain. I found a tiny heat/ice gel pack that I hope I can slide in between to reduce the gap.I'm not sure what other reviewers were talking about regarding the difficulty of gel insert when Frozen? I find it works very well and I can shift it to fit my shoulder especially as I pump up the compression portion of the brace.I ordered the large and I am 6'1" 200 pound male that worked out regularly (thus the shoulder injury). I wish more people would list their height weight and dimensions when buying products involving size (clothing, shoes, braces, etc.)!!!!UPDATE: It's been a few weeks and this is still a savior for my shoulder. It's reduced the pain in my shoulder from rotator cuff tear by such a large margin that I'm trying lifting (very light) weights... and hopefully more soon. I also found a way for the pump and tube to not be in my way; I wrap it around the velcro and it stays put (see pic).

Tore my shoulder. Rotator cuff and labrum. Trying to apply ice and compression was a giant pain. Picked this up hoping it would work. After using it for more than a year I while heartedly recommend this to anyone with a shoulder injury, or just shoulder pain. High quality product.

This is a review and how to for real people in real pain. This item is unnecessarily cumbersome. The instructions for use will cause most injured people more pain just putting it on. The picture and actual fit on a normal or smaller person are vastly different. Now- that ice pack. It’s worth the price of the item. However, I’m still trying to find just an ice pack shaped like this. It is perfectly shaped to cover the shoulder (all sides) and the muscles leading to the neck. It gets very cold but is pliable. Due to the fit inside of the item and the compression, the ice pack stays in place giving a great numbing to painful areas. Use a face cloth or towel between your skin and the ice pack. Hints for use if you hurt yourself using the company’s instructions:1. Do not fasten the red and blue tabs to the item. This allows you to place the item over your painful shoulder without tugging or hurting your shoulder. The other strap that goes around your body holds it in place. (Wide chest or large breasts- the fit of the strap won’t look like the picture)2. Once the item is comfortable then either have someone hold it in place or lean back on a chair once you have the strap that comes around your body in hand. Tighten so that the item doesn’t move.3. It is best to be aware of good posture or you shoulder will roll forward.4. Once the item with ice pack are in place, hold the front gently in place if adjusting your position or sitting back on a chair. Using compression can move the item out of place if you don’t.5. Removal: the ice pack is so cold that it melts. This can cause a bit of condensation. Wipe the pack and the item with a dry cloth after use.Or just send it back and keep looking!

The outer shell even when maximally loosened is too tight to lay down over the shoulder completely. Using the compression bulb doesn't help. This means that the cold/hot pack doesn't conform to the shoulder and back contours, so there are air gaps between the pack and the body surface. I get better results by using the cold/hot pack WITHOUT the outer shell. That way, the cold/hot pack lays down nicely against the shoulder and back, and can be secured in place using the strap. The compression shell does not fit right, and is USELESS.

I love this thing. Is it bulky? Yes. Is it a heavy? Meh, you’re aware of it. Does it work? Oh, HECK YES!!! I’m in an MRI/surgery wait list and I hurt. A lot. My shoulder is killing me. I looked at reviews, picked this one and am so glad I did. It rocks! Want it cold? 20 min in freezer and it’s cold. Hot? I find heating it in 20 sec intervals helps me the right temp, don’t forget to have something between your skin and the brace.Now that you’re comfy and warm/cold, now you can pump up the compression and enjoy pain relief I didn’t think I’d achieve until, what, 6 weeks post surgery. The compression on this is heavenly. Love it. Got on here just so I could review it. Buy it. Have someone help you fit it. Then, enjoy.
