4.5 stars
4.5 stars. I read the first chapter of this in the back of book 1 (Extreme Honor), and I couldn't hit the buy button fast enough. The whole book lived up to the intrigue posed by that first chapter. I love the dog training/rehab aspect of this series, and the three guys who run the kennel are fascinating. Each gets to be the focus of one book. The focus in this is Alex, who has a daughter which added a great dimension to this - I love books with great kid and animal characters, and this has both. This had a teaser chapter for book 3, and sure enough it was amazing. Now I just have to wait for it to land on my porch later this week. (Language, sex)

Easy Rider
Great storyline with good characters. Considering that all this happens in two weeks with a woman that has been emotionally abused; the sexual encounters seem a little rushed. Since it is a romance novel I understand the audience you are writing for and that the age group that are sexually liberated. However a softer touch on the first encounter would seem more realistic as you did in the first novel of this series.

Enjoyed it even though reading the series outta order
Read this as part of the on-going project to help a friend develop a booklist for her group, Adult Children of Parents with PTSD.There is a lotta PTSD in this story, she has, he has it (with flashbacks), the dog has it. I was somewhat disturbed at the description of New Hope, PA as a quiet little town because when I new New Hope it was always littered with tourists.I am reading this series all outta order but it doesn't seem to interfere with my ability to follow the story.Quite fascinating to read about how they rehab military canines and it seems a good form of therapy for military with PTSD.

Amazing read!
So I was ADDICTED to Extreme Honor, the 1st book in the series which i have read 4 times since it was released! I literally counted down the months, weeks, and days until Ultimate Courage's release date. I LOVE that it gives true realistic details about dog training, and that all of the dog characters are very developed with issues. Like Atlas had severe depression and ptsd. and the GSD in this book didn;t want to bite, and he had a troubled past. The info about living/working at the kennel is so detailed and vivid that this would be my dream life! I love being able to live in the lives of the characters for a while. If you can, buy and read these books; they are awesome! I can't wait for Absolute Trust to come out, and I will be counting down until it does! Until then, i will read extreme honor and ultimate courage a zillion times!

Smart and Sexy!
I love romances with strong men partnered with equally strong women. While the heroine, Elisa, may initially appear to be a damsel in distress because she is on the run from her crazy ex-fiance, her strength shines through in terms of her determination to live independently and to not ever give up hope. The pairing with Alex, a sexy former SEAL turned dog trainer who needs Elisa's help just as much as she needs him made for a great read with plenty of emotional depth to keep me hooked the whole time. The story is also peppered with a great supporting cast! My favorites include the hero's daughter, Boom, and his canine companion Souze. If you like your heroes Alpha and your heroines smart, then this is the book for you.

Great adventure.
This author has gripping storylines. I find it hard to put the books down and do other things. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that parts of the books are just too "steamy". And it isn't necessary. The story could stand on its own.

Great Story.
I loved that this story took the time to let the characters get to know each other. It had the hint of suspense but was not shoving danger down your throat every page. Loved the sensitive alpha guys too. My only complaint and the one star dropped id a minor one but is only because of Alex leaving when he just up and left her sitting when the whole story had been her being stalked and was in danger of being kidnapped. I just felt that it could have played out differently.

The best of the series!
There are so many things to love about this series but this book especially, for me it is the best of the series. Obviously Boom and Souze steal your heart from the first moment you meet them but the courage and determination that Alex and Elisa show have you hoping alongside them. This book is packed full of action, danger, sweet moments, fear, hope and love but cradled between these are pages with PTSD, abuse and drama. All are dealt with beautifully, making you aware and even sympathetic but in a tasteful way and they remain a secondary plot rather than the focus. All the books in this series contain Alpha heroes returning from military service with numerous problems, lots of baggage and struggling with the onslaught of emotion that integrating back into civilian life throws at them. The women may at times appear downtrodden, weak or unsure but all show themselves to have spines of steal and when someone they love (human or canine) is threatened they show their true strengths...fantastic!

The book is great
But what I really like about it is the thought of a PTSD Service dog. History recent and aged attests to PTSD. being a severe debilitating illness suffered by service personnel and largely ignored or the treatment underfunded. From the shell shock of WWI ( cowardice if you were other ranks) through various other names to the very distressing illness now called PTSD. The idea of a service dog trained to recognize, nurture and protect victims is a fabulous idea. I sincerely hope it becomes a reality, though I suspect this side of the Pond it might take a lot longer to establish.

Partners, Buddies and Lovers
Loving this series. I love military romance and these guys have a lot to offer but they come home from war and have more battles to win. survivor guilt is one thing PTSD another and it's more than just the men it's the canine warriors to who need healing. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, not all of them human. They say never work with children and animals well both are included in this series of stories and they are enriched because of it. Protection is in their DNA and although they are not family by blood ties they are family in every sense that counts. Great value Great entertainment

Worth a read
I found this book a lot more interesting as it wasn't so repetitive as the first book. These books are good but could have been even better if the storyline was more interactive between the characters. I felt at times the author was trying to convince herself what she was writing was correct. After saying g all that I am looking forward to book three.

Excellent loved the book. They are getting better as we go on, the characters we know and love are really good. I recommend to everyone to get into this series. I have not been able to put this down, almost 2-30am. Great job on to the next one. Thanks
