I have tried many tar shampoos and this one is the best. It contains more tar than most (2% vs 1%) and does a very effective job at controlling the itchiness and flaking. It is also very well-priced, as you need to use very little product for it to do the job. i highly recommend you try it if you have not been satisfied with the products you've tried thus far.

Ya yo tengo más de un año en tratamiento con la dermatologa y usando el tratamiento que me dan y nada me reducir la picason las escamas en el cuero cabelludo y eso me daba estrés inseguridad vergüenza. Y mi última cita con la dermatologa se lo dige que no veía mejoría y ella empezó a buscar en Amazon un shampoo a qui le tomó una foto y me dijo utilice este era uno de botella morada no era este . Yo entre a Amazon buscando el shampoo que ella había dicho y me apareció este desidia pedir ete y estoy feliz muy feliz lo recomiendo al 1000% es increíble después de padecer esa casposidad tan horrible. Este shampoo en tan solo 2 semanas ya no tengo esas costras de caspa . Me siento feliz.

The first time I bought Tarsum, it worked! Prior to that, I had tried almost every brand of psoriasis shampoo sold by Amazon. I’ve suffered with scalp psoriasis since childhood. As I grew older, psoriasis would present itself in my ears, on my eyelids, on my knees, elbows, ankles with smaller patches elsewhere. While I’ve never had a severe case of psoriasis on the rest of my body, the major area of concern was my scalp. After the first application of Tarsum, I immediately felt a change. No more itching or burning! After the second application, my scalp felt and looked NORMAL. No more flaking! I can wear dark colors with confidence! I was thrilled. Since I purchased my first bottle of Tarsum about 5 years ago, the manufacturer no longer makes the larger size; the bottles are now almost half the size they once were, but I buy it because it works. I also used a skin emulsion, Cutar (also sold on Amazon) for the psoriasis on the rest of my body, but it didn’t seem to work as well on my skin as Tarsum does on my scalp. The directions on the Tarsum bottle state to put the shampoo on the scalp for 5 minutes before showering after which you can shampoo/condition with your regular products so there is no lingering tar scent. I thought: why not do the same on the other areas of my body that are affected by psoriasis that I do on my scalp? The result is that Tarsum removes the red, flaky patches from the rest of my body as well as it works on my scalp. I apply the shampoo on my legs and arms and anywhere else I see patches, and after 5 minutes or more, I shower it off and then use my regular soap, rinse again, and then follow up with my regular moisturizer after I dry off.. Tarsum works on my body better than the Cutar skin emulsion, or anything else I’ve used, so now it’s Tarsum for everything that has to do with psoriasis. It is the ONLY product that absolutely works.To think I spent HUNDREDS of dollars every year on prescription solutions that really didn’t work. I buy a $25 bottle of Tarsum and all my psoriasis is GONE.I know psoriasis has no cure, but at least now I don’t have to look like I’m in need of one.

Works good so far

Ok so I’ve tried like everything other than going to a dermatologist for my scalp issues. From flaky skin, inflamed follicles which would feel like pimples on scalp and hair loss, patchy Hairloss and bad quality hair so I just shaved my head. After trying this product I put it on my dry head like it says and rubbed it in and left it in. Didn’t wash till next day. Head smelled like a gas can but scalp felt great. Well now I use as a shampoo daily and also dilute in a spray bottle with water and use during the day. Spray my face and beard and head. No more flakes or inflation anywhere and hair is growing in thick, can feel the new whiskers under longer hairs. Hope this review helps out.

Doesn't work as well as T-Gel, but okay replacement. Some benefit, but need to use more regularly compared to T-Gel.

I’ve suffered with severe irritation and embarrassing flakes for years. I used steroid foam prescribed by a physician with limited success. I had a patch about the size of my open hand on the back of my head. I couldn’t wear darker colored shirts due to the extreme amount of flaking. I use this product every other day and only use a very small amount. Game changer!

My hubby has been using Tarsum for some time and it has helped him with itchy scalp and hair falling out. It doesn't have a distinct smell, it is easy to use, and it lasts for about a month. I wish the bottle was bigger for the price, however it is worth every penny.
