Sick of furry tumbleweeds? Me too, so I bought this.
I bought this knowing my usual brush wasn't doing the trick for my long haired white cat, I immediately opened and used it. Little did I know the fluffy man was about to get the brushing of his lifetime...So much hair was coming off of my cat that his hairs were being used as micro floss strings in my teeth. So much hair was being raked off of his chunky body that it was clinging to me like Velcro and I thought "am i a cat now too?" , or maybe a smaller version of the abominable snowman. Even as I write this review, I can still see dozens of furry tumbleweeds flying around outside my window. I continued to brush him, amazed and in disbelief that I doubted myself as a good cat mom, and instead a bad cat mom. I couldn't stop, he didn't want me to stop, he couldn't believe he was finally getting the attention he deserved, new brush, new cat. Much smaller cat now. I thought my fur child was just a little over weight, when in-fact, he was not. Just too fluffy for his own good. How could I let this much time go by without having this brush? The future is bright for my rugs and furniture, no longer will I see those white tumbleweeds rolling around everywhere I look, no matter how often I vacuum. I will no longer see clouds of fur appear every time he does his little head shakes, usually over my plates of food. My digestion system will soon thank me for not having to do all that extra work now....It is required to do this activity outside, on a windy day otherwise your balcony will look carpeted. Unless you'd like that.

Game-changing Miracle Worker!
Our dog is a very hairy terrier mix who doesn't shed - He mats. Before the grooming rake, no matter how much we tried to keep up with the brushing and the combing, we still wound up with all these awful mats that apparently can be painful. We wound up having to have him shaved over and over to get rid of the mats. We kept swearing we were going to do a better brushing and combing job to keep the mats away, but it didn't matter - We still wound up with the dreaded mats.Enter the grooming rake - it really digs out the loose hair from underneath, the same hair that causes the matting. Since getting the rake, we just use it once a week, and he's remained mat-free. I rake, then brush a bit and then comb. And the comb actually glides right through his hair, which never was the case before. Love this rake!

They work just as good as the pricier deshedding tools.
I bought this deshedding tool because our groomer recommended one like this for our Siberian Husky and our Anatolian Shepherd/St Bernard. I didn’t get the exact one that she has because it was a bit more expensive than this one. This one works just as good though. This tool does a wonderful job at removing that loose undercoat on my furbabies. I was using a furminator but will not be using it again. Our groomer said furminators cut the fur and pull out some loose stuff. And since I’ve gotten these, and I’ve seen the difference, I believe it! I don’t want their fur cut and I want a good deshedder during coat blowing season so these are my new go-to! They seem fairly durable. They do have a plastic handle so I’m hoping they will hold up in the long run. If not, they’re not very pricey so I’d just buy a new one.

Worth it
The gloves are very good quality it makes my dogs feel like they're getting a massage they were not a fan of the detangler but too bad because they want to play around and they get tangly sometimes so it works well for my poodle he just wasn't a fan of it the gloves were amazing because it helps feel like I was getting deeper into their hair and cleaning out more dirt than just doing it by hand I like that the gloves actually had good grippers on there to kind of grip more of the hair and get down into there so I thought it was great it was easy to clean it was the perfect size for my hands and it worked well

Inexpensive,effective,and welltolerated
This is both very inexpensive and an excellent tool. I have 2 dogs: a malti-poo and a Papillon...both rescues. The Papillon is 'new' this past Nov.and though her coat was sleek when I got her her undercoat really flourished in winter. A friend recommended one of these tools - I also happy with it! Bot dogs got their daily grooming with it yesterday, and though I expected a lot of hair removal with the papillon, it also took a lot off the Malti-poo. I'm used to using a 'slicker' so didn't think either dog had buildup of matting haircut found out I was wrong. As long as the tool is used gently both dogs loved the grooming - more so than the slicker. I'd buy this again, and note that this one is less costly than other brands but really the same item.

Works extremely well, be cautious!
Easy to use! Just take care the first time because I hadn't realized that my heavy coated German Shepherd/husky's tail was tangled. I was using the detangling side but was going too fast and then we had to rebuild trust with it. It will pull hair out if you're not being gentle. Was very easy to use on his thick scruff. The medium coated German Shepherd/great dane's fur was a breeze though! He was already pretty well brushed out but it found hair that my pin brush missed! Very effective and I look forward to not having to vacuum three times a day now!

Best deshedding tool for my double coated cat!
Not one to write reviews most of the time but this is incredible. I adopted a long haired cat in the fall and have been struggling to find a good brush for deshedding. He has a thick double coat and when I brush with a detangler or slicker brush daily very little fur comes out. I just spent 15 min with this rake and got SO much fur out of his coat that he’s been trying to shed for spring. It even does a decent job on my short haired cat! If you have a double coated long haired cat, this rake is great for spring deshedding!
