The manufacturer needs to indent the countersunk screw hole in the screen more, so the screen will sit flush.Coffee grounds get stuck "around" the screw and indent the puck (see photo #1).With "modification", you can achieve a flush mount with either the supplied replacement Phillips screw or the OEM hex screw. You'll need a steel punch (brass punch didn't cut it), wood blocks to support the screen holder, and a heavy hammer with a significant blow to countersink the screen further than the factory did.My photos show the starting point and the end modifications. I "prefer" the hex screw over the Phillips for torque purposes (and easy removal later). (You can see pictures of both Phillips and Hex screws in photos #5 & 6)The replacement is ever so slightly less tall. (OEM = 18.42mm vs. IMS = 17.05mm)I'm hoping to fit a Normcore 1.7mm screen in the portafilter with some more adjustments.

Accidentally cut my original gasket so bought this to give myself a little upgrade but the quality is real nice and pretty happy that the nylon piece is replaced with metal. Also the IMS shower screen feels like it has way better performance.

The media could not be loaded. An upgrade for your Breville Oracle or Double Boiler!! The original shower distributor is plastic and prone to cracking and this aluminum shower distributor is a perfect upgrade along with a new shower screen and portafilter gasket. The portafilter will fit tighter and be a little harder to turn initially due to the new gasket needing some break in time. Well worth the money and takes 5 minutes to replace.

Been nearly a year and these are doing great. The basket is harder to turn, but definitely it's worth it as I don't have to worry about a cracked diffuser! Blue silicone is a bit tougher, but it doesn't seem to deteriorate or turn sticky like the OEM.

I bought a used Breville Oracle around a year ago and noticed the shower head had a tendency to group water in 2 spots instead of evenly. When I opened it up to soak the screen in cafiza, I noticed the plastic dispersion block had been cracked the entire time. I tried looking for stock replacements from Breville and it looked like it would take weeks to arrive. So then I found this screen on Amazon and decided to give it a try. It's amazing! I have never had such clean extractions on this machine. The shower screen is also very easy to remove for cleaning. The only con is that the screw now protrudes which presses down a bit on the coffee puck when brewing. I have not noticed any uneven extractions due to this yet.
