This is a great scratching post. It was easy to assemble and I like that I can remove the bottom half when it becomes too used and attach the top directly to the base. It is durable and stable. The balls are a nice touch and help to encourage them to use the post. I ultimately chose this one because it was taller than most scratching posts, which our orange cat really appreciates. It came with a self grooming brush that you can attach to the post or to something else. It also came with catnip. Our cats don't use these, but I like the thought.

My cats love this! It’s very easy to assemble and is the perfect size. My cats haven’t destroyed it yet, which is actually quite impressive.

Just came back to buy our second 34" tree. It held up very well and produced some awesome scratches. After a year, our two cats tore a sizeable hole all the way through the cardboard, so I had to replace it. Thanks to the great modular design, I was able to combine what was left of that first one into a usable shorter one, though. And then when I got the second one, I left out a piece to make it more comfortable for my cats to use at their height (their ideal spot is right at the joining point, so the green middle piece gets in the way). No missing parts, no smell, very comfy for the cats. All in all, it's been a great purchase!

I recently purchased the MECOOL Cat Scratching Post, and while the quality is impressive, it hasn’t quite captivated my cat as much as I’d hoped. Pros: Great Build Quality: The materials feel durable and well-made. The sisal scratching surface looks like it’ll last a long time, even with regular use. Sturdy and Stable: Once assembled, the post feels very sturdy and doesn’t wobble, which is great for heavier cats or active scratching sessions. Easy Assembly: Putting it together was straightforward and quick, so it was ready for my cat in no time. Cons: Cat Isn’t Very Interested: Unfortunately, my cat doesn’t use it as often as I’d hoped. She’ll occasionally give it a scratch or play with the hanging ball, but it’s not her go-to scratcher. Overall: The MECOOL Cat Scratching Post is a well-built, sturdy product and could be perfect for cats who love sisal scratching posts. While my cat hasn’t fully taken to it, I still think it’s a good product and worth a try if you’re looking for a reliable scratching post.

Great product for the price. My cat loves to pick at things, so I thought I’d get him a new scratching post. He loves it! I put it together in about 5 minutes because it only has 5 steps. The post is prickly which is great for him to stick his claws into, and it is very stable. I don’t think it’s going to come apart unless I take it apart. The beige is aesthetic, and the design is sleek. Even when he isn’t scratching it, he will lay on the carpeted part at the bottom. This product also came with catnip and an additional body scratching piece. I don’t use catnip, but my cat absolutely adores the body scratching piece. He’ll rub his neck and chin on it frequently. As you see in the video, he also likes the pompom balls. 10/10

This has been a hit with all three of our cats. I waited a few months before reviewing, in order to see how it would hold up. So far, so good. None of our boys are super aggressive while scratching the post, so it might fare differently under aggressive or constant use. However, two of our boys are tall snd pretty strong/ athletic (15 to 16 pounds each), and it has held up well gor them. It’s a nice height, especially since our boys are leggy, and need the extra height in NJ order to be able to stand up full length and scratch.

I bought this for Jax, who loves scratching the sisal posts on his cat trees. But the sisal on them has worn down, and my attempts at replacing it weren't as good as the original. So I thought, I'll buy him a new scratching post and he'll love it! Spoiler: he did not love it. He ignored it completely. For four months! But then, a couple of weeks ago, he decided it was a great scratching post! Now he comes into my bedroom and, before his morning petting and brushing, he'll use the scratching post for a short while. And then again at night, when I go up to my bedroom, he'll follow and use the scratching post again. Anyway, it's a good size for him to get a stretch in, and light enough that I can move it into the corner when vacuuming. Will he keep liking it a month from now? Who knows! Cats are fickle. But it's a solid scratching post for any cat, when they're in the mood at least.

Pretty good but its been about a year now and my cats are starting to rip it apart

This is a pretty large sturdy cat post. I have 3 active cats....they all LOVE this tree. I've had two of them at the same time on the pole itself (18lbs) and wresting on it...no tipping at all. This thing is just awesome. Great bang for buck. Also, carpet doesn't shed...I appreciate that I don't need to clean that up too.
