Decent piece
Worked great all around but the solder was weak and wore out just moving it around a bit, the wires also overlap at the solder point which I fixed both by resoldering as I needed and added some tape to keep movement to a minimum.Programming it using an arduino was easy, once I got the hang of that. I'd buy it again if needed.

Nice matrix
I removed the output cable and used it for connecting Arduino to input. I powered the display with the center cable and the Arduino from the input connector.

The SainSmart LEDuino 16x16 Flexible LED Matrix is a pretty ordinary WS2812b panel. I mean that in a good way, though... the WS2812b ICs are pretty much identical to any other ones I have (in terms of brightness and color). Even though you can chain the data line to other panels, I would avoid taking your power across multiple panels. $22 for 256 WS2812b ICs? The flexibility lends itself to some creative possibilities. Recommended

Very interesting device.
An interesting device, configured well, able to be daisy chained. There is software support by AdaFruit to use in graphical manner. Also is on a flexible substrate that allows curved displays. A large display will be expensive though - $35 for 256 LEDs.
