Soft plush carpet, looks slightly darker than the picture. Bought the small one to make sure I liked it before purchasing the big one for my living room. First picture is 2x4' and second is 8x8'

This is our second Safavieh rug purchase this year. We have yet to be disappointed! This rug is not as plush or soft as some of their shags but it definitely is made for high traffic areas such as our living room. It is semi- soft under foot and is welcoming on cold floors. It came rolled up with instructions and was delivered straight to our door. It unrolled and took just a bit to air out and flatten. We put heavy books on the corners to get it to lay flat faster. The colors are wonderful. Within a minute of putting it down, our oldest dog immediately lied down on it wagging. If you have kids and big fluffy dogs, this is the rug for you! It is extremely easy to vacuum. You will want a rug pad under it for hard flooring as it will slip without. We got a basic pad for this rug and will be ordering a more heavy duty pad when we order the larger version for under our coffee table.

Love it! Just what I wanted. It arrived ahead of schedule. It is super soft. I like the blend of colors. I was worried about the black in it because I wanted something fairly light but the black areas have enough grey mixed in that it's not bad. The middle is very light (white/grey) with the darker colors blending outward.

Immediately I dislike the colors. "ivory", looks more like a light yellow. "Grey" looks more like black.It would have been helpful to see a swatch of it before I chose this color. My suggestion would be that, they be provided if a customer request it. It would save a customer the disappointment, and save the shippers money on the back and forth. It's really too large to return. That is really the complaint that I have. Here is what I admire.Safavieh brand has good quality rugs. This one in particular, is very comfortable to the feet.It is very easy to vacuum. It doesn't shed . It should be easy to maintain because the thickness is exactlythe right depth to comfortability. I purchased the Grey and Ivory Runner 2'3" x 7' .I recommend this product but with a word of advice, make sure it's the color you want.After all, you're investing in your home and life. I recently bought three other runners of this same carpet. They were the exact size that I needed for my hallway and in front of my bedroom and at the top of the cellar stairs and I love them.I also bought the 10' X 14' area rug for my family room (I needed exactly 14' to fit the room) however the bound carpet that I received was 10' X 14' 3" and I had to cut part of it to fit the room. I debated for a long time on this carpet and bought it because of the good reviews. The carpet itself is great but I'm very disappointed on the incorrect sizing.I know that it's not going to last because I'm going to have to trim 3" off of the entire side next to my fireplace.

Nice rug with a little less than 1/2 " pile. We bought two, one rectangular, one round, to fill our "odd shaped" living room. We look out onto the ocean and the rugs blend seamlessly with the sea. The large rug does take a bit of time to straighten out (it is shipped folded over several times) and it's not quite square, so expect to hide one side under a couch if you buy the large size. For the price, however, this is a great solution for our summer home.

I really really do love this rug, had been looking for a runner rug for the hallway to our bedrooms. We finally found this one. It is beautiful, however, it moves so easily. It is so light that my 55 lb dog moves it a few times a day by walking fast on it. When he runs he pushes it really far, we have a rug we got from living spaces and that one never moves, it is a lot heavier and better quality in terms of weight. this one does feel good though, very plush. We would recommend buying, but before you do make sure you have a rug gripper as well.

Big bonus, the colours and pattern look very close to as shown in website site picture. Rug arrived rolled tightly in protective packaging. After unrolling it pretty much laid flat after a couple of days. For the price the quality and finish is very good. Looks very nice. The only fault I found was the directions to get the rug out of packaging for return if required were impossible to follow.

Absolutely love it. Just got it yesterday. The design looks better than the picture. The rug is soft and the quality seems good!

The whole family love it. It is thicker and softer than we expected but we are very happy that it is.

The only bad thing i would say is the smell takes awhile to go away
