Great plastic welder... just give it time to cool off in between jobs.
Great plastic welder! I have a butane torch version for small jobs but needed a plug-in version for a project for my wife's garden. This product heats up quickly and by using one of the three included tips, I was able to weld HDPE plastic easily. The light at the end of the welder tells you that it's still working and when it no longer lights up, the welder needs to cool down. The job we needed done required three buckets to be cut and plastic netting to be welded so it did stop working after about 30 minutes. Contrary to what others were saying about this product, I just let it cool down for an hour and continued working and was able to complete the job.Give it time to cool off and you will find this plastic welder works really well!! Highly recommend this product.

Works Great! Only way to weld plastic!
I used this to mend a piece of broken plastic on my John Deere dump cart. I had already tried to JB welding it, but that failed instantly. Plastic is very hard, if not impossible to glue or epoxy. I ended up welding over 30 of these staples to join the broken off section to the main body. I then cut off the exposed staples with wire cutters, but it was difficult to get them flush and it left a bunch of sharp pointy hand stickers. I decided to grind them flat with an angle grinder and that worked really good since I really wasn't too concerned about the finished look, just function. To make it even stronger, I went back over the crack on both sides lightly with a propane torch to melt the plastic into the crack a bit. Turned out really well and greatly exceeded my expectations. It's not pretty, but it's solid. This is the only good way to weld plastic together in my opinion. I have since started going around and fixing every crack in anything plastic I have.

Great, works good, only 1 minor flaw - the included plyers
The media could not be loaded. This kit works! It works well, but it is a plastic hot stapler, not really a welder. If you need to repair plastic, don't worry that it is not actually a welder.Everything a fixed thus far seems solid, and the staple wire seems strong. For some project you might want to sand down the bur created when the staple is inserted. This is easy work for any Dremel tool.I took off 1 star because the included plyers are the wrong type. We get a decent pair of diagonal plyers when we should have been given precision flush plyers. I show this in my video review. The vendors on Amazon seem to watch the feedback so I bet this will get corrected soon. Flush cut plyers can be purchased on Amazon, or any local hardware store will stock them.Great product, easy to use, even on your first try. Sadly, wrong plyers included. A- grade from me.Update: still great, A+ item, I used a recycle crate to practice on and I got really good at using the tool. I can say it takes about 50 staples to get great at it, so practice before you work on something important.CAUTION: I did have a minor injury when cutting off the leftover pins. I used to better flush cut snips, and the pin shot off and went through my pants and into my leg. It was like getting hit with a BB gun, so be careful where you cut them off, because they can come off with more than expected force, look at my pic.

Solid plastic welder
The gun did a great job repairing a part on my coffee maker, which covered the cost of purchase. It performed exactly as described. After 2 metal staples followed by the smoothing tip, the repair actually looks pretty good and seems quite strong. I did follow the instructions which say to wait 40 seconds for the plastic to cool before removing the metal staple from the gun. Otherwise, I believe that they would have pulled out of the plastic. Time will tell but the welder’s construction quality seems to be very solid. A Fakespot analysis of the reviews for this welder showed that they were almost all legitimate. Its main competitor got a solid “F” for the reviews.

Awesome Plastic Welder
I have only used this product seldomly. I do plan on using it to fix my car's front bumper but for smaller projects that I have used this for, it works amazing. For example, on my protein shaker cup, the lock latch that closes the mouth piece on the lid snapped when it fell (it was a post workout session and I accidentally opened it too strongly).Heartbroken, I thought I would need to purchase another lid ... until I remember I had this plastic welder.I was able to staple the broke piece back to the latch and now it can reattach to the lid! This was my first project working with the plastic welder and it was easy to use.The build quality is strong. It heats up fast. It is easy to use. Is there anything more I need to say?My only gripe is that the wire cutter that it comes with is a bit lacking and its use is for more larger, plastic pieces. For smaller things, like cutting off the portions of the staple that stick out, I would use another tool.Other than that, this tool works great and if you consider yourself a DIYer, you should give this tool a try!
