Amazing!! 10yr Replaced with Exact New Model, Excellent Quality
I originally purchase in Mar 2019 and it is now November 2019. I bought this carrier in 2009 to bring my puppy Yorkie home. After 10 Years I wanted to get him an identical replacement style because he loved it so much. The unit held up beautiful but it was time for his 10 year birthday. I was elated to find this one at a better price than the original from 2009. It has excellent quality and it is totally collapsible if necessary. The zippers are tricky as they are male to female installation, top and bottom, so it can be tedious to get started, but it still only takes a few minutes to put together. I don't take mine apart, I dont recommend that on a daily basis but it is fine for storage or cleaning. I leave it out with front door open and he just loves taking naps in it. It is so roomy being oval shaped he can curl up in all directions. When I cant find him, he is always in this little condo. I bought several sherpa beds 18" @ $6 on Amazon and they fit perfect. I just toss them in the washer weekly and keep them fresh. He is shy of 7lbs and he has a lot of room, so it can accomodate a bit larger pet. He can see well from 360 degrees, we cant see as well from the outside in but I love that I can stick my fingers through the holes when he is a little anxious, like waiting at the vet and it soothess him to have that human touch. I don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe they didn't install the zippers well, we all have those jackets that you connect at the bottom to zip, its just like that, but just like any zipper, make sure you get the threading going correctly. Mine is well made and high quality, and beautiful. I never had any zipper trouble in over 10 years, or any issue for that matter. For a cat I would leave the top unzipped to jump in and out at home, he could shred through the interior eventually if he is prone to doing that excessively, depends on your cat. For a dog, I would leave the front mesh unzipped and it is his little Igloo. I highly recommend this carrier and you will get so many compliments. It also has a sturdy handle at the top for carrying or securing the seatbelt through it when travelling.

Very easy to store, soft, and cleverly spacious
This carrier functions exactly as advertised, and it's refreshing to purchase a product that truly delivers what a company promises that it'll deliver! It's cleverly collapsible while also being structurally sound to adequately hold its form when assembled for use.Assembly is relatively easy. I confused myself on the zippers for the top and bottom pieces lol But once I understood how the zipper is setup, it was a breeze to finish assembling the carrier. It's very cushioned. There's many advertised 'soft' sided carriers, and they are soft. However, this carrier has built-in cushion or shock absorption in the top and bottom pieces, which is a cool perk. There's no inner cushion though. I purchased a rectangular shaped cushion because I couldn't find an oblong shaped one. It worked just fine though. All the air vents were fantastic during commutes in my car. If your pet feels anxious about outdoor surroundings, I'd recommend choosing a different carrier. This carrier isn't setup for a hiding/safe haven spot while seated in the veterinarian's waiting room.As you can see, I placed my carrier in my English Lop's x-pen so that he'd become comfortable with the carrier. It became his home, and he absolutely loved it!I have since replaced the carrier. A year later, the carrier still functioned the same. The structure remained sound. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the carrier! I was in a bad car wreck that totaled my car, and the way our bodies were tossed around like rag dolls prompted me to switch to a hard sided carrier instead of the soft. But my English Lop just adores this soft sided carrier lol It's his binky!

Parakeet Approved
I received the pet carrier promptly several hours after placing the order using the same day Prime service; I couldn't be happier. This is a fantastic carrier that my lineolated parakeet took a liking to straight away. It doesn't have the sterile feel of a hard-cased carrier and though it's not truly soft like fabric carriers, its material (similar to neoprene) is pliable yet sturdy. Many of the reviews I read pertained to small dogs or cats, but with a few simple additions, this could easily suit a bird. I know one of the questions asked was about the size of the ventilation holes; they are ovals with approximate dimensions of 1&1/4 in x 5/8 in. Since the carrier already comes with a small black fleece cushion, a perch made of a dowel cut to size, a hanger bolt, fender washers on inside and outside secured with a wing nut or acorn nut on each end would certainly be a simple DIY project. If DIY isn't your cup of tea, I found the plastic "Wonder Hanger," an As Seen On TV product which hangs garments on hangers in a layered vertical style, fits perfectly in the carrier as a perch and even as a device from which to hang toys. See photos attached. My only advice for any pet owner is to air out the carrier prior to use. It has a rather strong smell, comparable to a new pair of sneakers, but one that could trigger a headache if left in your presence for very long. Also, zipping up the carrier for the first time is not for those with compromised dexterity. The design is simple and requires no instruction, but physically lining up the zippers to seal the enclosure while trying to hold the zipper pull against the bottom stop takes a bit of coordination.
