Great Set of Batteries
Got these to use primarily with my Xbox controllers. For a long time I've used a rechargeable battery pack that has a special backplate and stand to charge the battery without removing it. It's worked well enough, but the contacts have always been finicky and it doesn't let you know right away that it's not properly connected, so after 5 minutes it might start flashing that it's not connected, which you'll only notice if you're in the room still.I did a fair bit of research into these, particularly NiMH vs Lithium. I'm not going into the details, but essentially NiMH works fine for controllers and most devices I use, so I can get a lot of use out of these. The only real downside is that the console can't interpret the actual state of my battery so it always displays at about half-charge, but they last just as long and when you're down to the last 15 minutes or so it does give the low battery alert, which is perfect. This pack came with 8AA and 4AAA, which I really just needed 4AA so I'm loaded with batteries now. As these are my most common battery needs and in the ratio I'd need (more AA than AAA) it's perfect. The charger is nice and not too bulky, you can fold the plug in if you're storing it away. The light indicators are clear and color coded, makes it easy to tell when they're charged.Overall this is a great deal if you're looking for rechargeable batteries, in particular for the battery glutton that is an Xbox controller. It's also more affordable for running two controllers vs a $40-$70 controller plus the $30 official battery pack for each.

Great value in a simple-to-use charger with some great batteries
I had an old Maha MH-C9000 that I picked up on a friend's recommendation. It worked ok, but never seemed to be quite as smart as it was supposed to be. I particularly noticed it had a tendency to happily overcharge batteries with no end. I usually let it go overnight and when it started pumping in all the way past *double* the rated capacity of the used rechargables I had, that was it.I read around for a replacement and found that just about all of the chargers available on Amazon had been reviewed (very thoroughly) by "NLee the Engineer." It was very helpful that one person had reviewed and compared all of them in great detail. After reading about several models, I opted to go for something dirt simple this time around. My old charger had lots of different modes and charging rates available, but I found it more of a hassle than anything else. Especially when it didn't work. This charger has individual colored LEDs for each slot, which is all I really need. Red is low charged, amber is in the middle, and green is nearly fully charged. The green light goes out after a while when it stops charging, and a few other blinking states can tell you when the batteries have given up the ghost. Simple, and so much easier than having to select charging modes and rates every time. Works great so far, and this set including a bunch of high quality AA and AAA low-self-discharge rechargeables is priced such that it's a much, much better value than just buying the bare charger, assuming you can also use some (more) rechargable batteries.

Best bang for your buck
This battery pack is definitely worth the price. I spent a lot of time researching which battery pack to get and am glad I got this pack. It worked out to be worth it over the Amazon Basics rechargable batteries when the charger was included in the cost.I use the batteries as a battery pack for a robot and for my Nikon SB-700 flash. They are able to easily keep up. It was able to do twenty full power flashes (1/1) in 18.17 seconds, so recycle time wasn't a problem as most of the time the flash is used at less power. It was able to keep up fully with my Nikon D7100 on continuous high shooting RAW when the flash power was 1/16.Pros:The charger charges each battery IndividuallyThe charger shuts off charging individually when a battery is fully chargedSaves money in the long termQuick charge feature enables the charger to charge 1 to 2 batteries in an hour and a half or 4 in three hoursThe quick charger's time to charge a battery is a good compromise between charging the battery quickly and maintaining battery integrityEasily able to keep up with flash under most circumstancesCons:Waiting for a battery to charge is never fun (but it is pretty short on this unit)The yellow LED's can look similar to the green LED's, until you have seen both and know what they look likeOverall:I would definitely recommend getting this eneloop pack. The battery charger is the best one currently available and eneloop is well known and respected for making quality batteries. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll make sure to replyPlease click Yes if this review was helpful!

Great battery life, easy to use, charger lights are excellent
Rechargeable batteries have come a long way, and these batteries prove it. I use these on my gameboy advance, facial hair trimmers, dog hair trimmers, milk frother. I haven't had any issues with how much power they deliver (sometimes a concern with rechargeable batteries). The battery life is excellent; I get several hours of play on my gameboy advance with these (note that if your red light is coming on quickly with these, you may need to clean the power switch; that fixed the issue for me). The charger is easy to use and can be used for AAs or AAAs. The charging indicator (red, yellow, green) will change color for each battery being charged (in other words, it doesn't wait until all batteries are charged to turn green). Definitely worth the money.
