I Do RECOMMEND
I was really skeptical about this device. I had to do a lot of searching the internet but it was really difficult finding info on this device. KSUN doesnt design or manufacture this device, I think they just sell them with the name KSUN. The device name is NT-F3 if you need more info.REVIEWThis device is a great entry level for radio(PoC). I do recommend this device over the other KSUN branded walkies. The setup process on this device was kinda difficult with the tiny screen and resolution, but i cant even imagine with the other KSUN walkies that dont have a touch screen and just some arrows. It works like a charm, battery lasts 3 days for me before it needs a charge. You can install other apps but I really dont find a reason why, the screen is way too small for typing so I dont get the point of needing anything other than to use it for comms. I bought two of this device with alot of anxiety about quality or build, but it is really well built for only 100 bucks, it has a hefty weight to it doesnt seem like it will fall apart or for it to be fragile, and yes it is plastic. SIM works great, I didnt have any problem with that. I did read alot of comments about SIM not working but Im not in the US so for me it works fine. I really cant complain about anything, it says what it does and it does it pretty well, as simple as that. Im saying this with the intent of you guys not hesitating about this device.WARNINGThere are other brands of this same device out here in amazon and are a total scam, they either dont work or come in chinese, or are simply a scam. REMEMBER this device is not made by the brands that sell them, and obviously some dont care at all and just want money.OVERALLFor entry level i give it an 7/10 nothing revolutionary, it simply works for ZELLO and thats it. Nothing to die for but nothing to shame about. Really reliable and trust me I was really afraid of wasting my money, because it has lots of bad reviews, but its been working fine for me, all the features.

Don't. Just don't. Unless you just want to be frustrated.
It's terribly hard to configure. I had to use Linux's scrcpy (screen copy) and adb to get my Zello login placed due to the sub-microscopic screen. Then, it only wanted to work on 2.4 GHz WiFi which is sliding further and further into disuse. Thirdly, the baseband module only supports 4G channels that most carriers either don't use or are not sufficient to work in the US. Your milage may vary, but IoT specific carriers like IoTfans may be your best hope for coverage since they have a higher degree of overlap. In the end, lack of cellular capabilities was a deal breaker for me. But if all you want is something that can work over 2.4 WiFi and are willing to deal with a ton of setup work, go for it.

No GPS, UHF, and function buttons hard to press
It is a solid phone but the listing would have you believe there may be a UHF radio in it and functioning GPS module, but it doesn’t. You have to download a button mapping app to customize the function buttons. The top SOS button isn’t programmed to do anything. The function buttons are hard to press to the extent that you risk pushing other buttons on side of the phone when attempting to apply pressure to the button you intended to press. There are two sim slots, and a micro sd card slot. Works with Tello/T-Mobile service. It is extremely loud, the volume control is odd or flawed in some ways. Like you can’t turn off the camera shutter sound. It has a bright LED flashlight on the top, much brighter than any baofeng radio flashlight (including the ones that are slightly upgraded compared to the UV5R) I’ve ever used. The red and blue strobe lights on the front are just silly to me, I’m tempted to break open the phone and crush them or something because it would be very lame if those started going off while I was carrying it around in public.I got the phone to use for work. Needed a phone with a button that calls 911. I had to get the button mapping app to accomplish this. I tried using google maps and Waze, it doesn’t work, not enough ram and Waze indicated the phone was incapable of GPS. There are no GPS related settings, so I think they just lied about it having any GOS capabilities in the listing. It is worth about $50-60 imho. The phone seems rugged and solid but who knows how long it will actually last. I have a feeling that it could die on me randomly with regular use. Certainly don’t trust the water proofing rating based on the lack of a nice seal around the battery.

Great for what i needed
My wife is disabled and sometimes is left alone at home. Ultimately, it would take about 40 minutes for the police to show up or an ambulance Bud. Instead of that I ordered 2 of these, so I have one. She also had her friends and parents download. Zello, app. And ultimately it's great for the emergency situations. I also take it when I ride my motorcycle and don't have to take my phone. Now, there is someone on here telling you to get A sim card from eiot club on amazon Do not do this. This company has no customer service. My SIM card showed Up dead on Arrival and I had to fight for my Money back through Amazon. I took a risk and went to T-Mobile who. I already have service through. And the SIM card worked perfectly and at $10 a month. This thing works everywhere.

Good network radio (kinda) for what it is...
I'm a ham and moved too far to hit my club repeater. Nowadays, I'm on either Zello or Echolink to chat with my closest friends. This device was initially to free up my phone for other purposes. My experience is mixed. Zello works great and the screen controls are good. Battery life is excellent. The switchover from one Wifi hotspot to another active one is OK but not stellar. Screen is pretty durable. Audio loud enough, great audio reports during TX. The camera works but not great. The only real disappointments are some apps need to be sideloaded (Echolink, Droidstar) but not difficult, and the inabilitly to activate with a US carrier for LTE. Other than that, I haven't put it down and have enough WiFi coverage when using it mostly. Would I buy it again, yes.
