Update July 2017: Received a replacement set of lights as promised from the vendor. So far they work great and have held up to almost daily use. I am being much more careful with them however, given my experience with the last set. Have changed the rating back to five stars as they really are great little lights and the customer service has been fantastic.Original review: These were purchased for our canoe a little over a month ago, and were great while they lasted. After exposure to water and the occasional Florida afternoon shower, they starting behaving as if they had a short i.e. either staying on, stuck in blinking mode, or not keeping the connection to stay on at all. When opening them up to change the batteries, there was significant rust and oxidation in the battery chamber. Had I known that they were so easily compromised by moisture, I would have removed them after every outing and opened them up to dry; but since the description claimed they were waterproof, I did not think I would have to baby them so. They're a great idea in theory, but are sadly disappointing in practical application for daily use. They are likely best suited to be kept away in dry storage and brought out in case of emergency lighting needs or for short term use.

Bought these battery powered lights for our boat because our wired navigation lights sometimes go out. These lights are easy to attach to railing and are very bright. Very happy with purchase.

These lights are well made and work really well. Would buy them again. I can’t speak to their longevity s since I haven’t had them long enough yet.

Bought these as emergency backups for my 38' express cruiser after I found my port bow light not working one night as we were sailing home from a day on the water. Fixed the errant light, but bought these as " insurance." Sure enough, about a month later, the port light quit working again. I grabbed these two lights out of a drawer, strapped them on my railing and turned them on. Work every time I have tested them and very bright. Perfect for emergency use or regular use if you wish. They even came with extra batteries. Great product.

Great lights for the money. Can't vouch for long term waterproofing. 3 stars because it's really irresponsible to make nav lights that flash. Flashing red and green are strickly reserved for fixed navigation aids. Not only are they elligal on vessels but can be confusing and even hazardous to other boaters.

If you just want an affordable easy to install set of running lights, this is it. We are using them on a sailboat and they are perfect. I also put some on my dogs harness for walking at night, and it cracks me up.

These are absolutely awful. Worked for less than a half hour. Very finicky. Threads are terrible, good luck putting them together.

I have had a boat for over 28 years. These are perfect. . The navigations lights that have a suction cup don't stickwell and I have lost so many of these overboard. I hooked these to the side of the dinghy rings and they illuminate perfectly in the water for night navigation. They were adjustable. After I hooked them in place I also used a cable tie to secure them just for extra security. When I got them the red light was dim so I emailed the company. They emailed me back within 15 minutes and said we will send you a new red light. When I arrived home from vacation two days later, the package was on the door step. Wow I was impressed with the seller. Great customer service!I would definitely recommend these and already have to my friends!
