Absolute garbage
This popped open as soon as I took it out of the bag and will not collapse. I’ve watched the ridiculous YouTube instructional video which is no help at all. Why can’t someone make a user friendly version??? This is a piece of junk. I would give no stars if I could.

cheaply made
I purchased this figuring it was likely going to be junk. I wasn't surprised.Collapsing it is very difficult, and results in many small cuts on my hands. Also the stick is peeling. The only credible thing about this is the desire to find a decent one.

constantly needs help rolling up
Very cool to have a stick appear out of nowhere! But this doesn't close back up easily and I constantly have to help it close. There are YouTube videos how to do this.

Mostly Cardboard/Plastic material.
Not worth $20. Product description makes it seem like the majority of the staff is metal, the ends are metal, the rest is some sort of cardboard, synthetic material. Product is "spring loaded" by way of "tightly" coiled material that acts as the spring. When trying to extend the "staff", the staff binds on itself, not fully extending. You have to gently twist and pull outwards each time to fully extend, and you have to twist and push to compress and re-pin the staff.Material is very thin and flimsy, making using the product a hassle, if you don't want to tear and destroy the staff. Can't really call it a staff either, as only on end extends outwards, the other side caves into the staff, making the product a really long wand or pointing stick. 1/10, not worth as a gag gift or party toy. Would be better priced lower than $10.

It’s super cute for about four seconds
Right up until any child under 12 gets ahold of it- then it breaks like 2009’s job economy. My oldest got to enjoy it for all of 20 minutes before this happened, then I spent the next 30 minutes furiously trying to get it back together before finally admitting defeat.I’d offer a suggestion for a better design, but I’m not even sure how- it’s a giant thin spiral that nests into itself like a telescope. Once opened, if it comes even a little un-spiraled, it looks like a giant unicorn horn that broke in half and is barely hanging together. To be honest, though, I’m okay with that- I was worried my oldest would use it as a weapon against her younger brother (and, like Miss Cleo, I predicted that it was over his head that the wand would be broken upon, and so it was). Sigh 🙄

Junk
This is junk. It broke right out of the box; it jumped out like a jack in a box and flew across the room. Scared me and the dog and doesn't go back into a fully tracked mode if it flies.
