MonroeQuick-Strut 171139 Suspension Strut and Coil Spring Assembly for Ford Expedition

These were genuine Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies, in Monroe boxes - NOT cheap knock-offs. The fit was perfect. Ride quality is outstanding immediately after installation. Much better than my old worn-out struts!! Arrived on-time with no shipping issues.

Solid struts that provide a factory ride. Don't expect a "tight" suspension, and don't use these if you are modding your truck to go off-roading, that's not what these are for. They're here for pavement pounders on the daily driver. I've had mine on for a couple weeks, after doing a little leveling kit on my Expedition when two of my factory struts went out almost simultaneously. The ride is smooth with no bounce. It grips the road now and I feel much more "in control" than I felt before. My confidence is improved after this install. I did it myself as I have the tools in my garage to do so. Make sure you get an alignment after you install them!

Perfect fit

I purchase these to replaced the worn out OE units on the rear of my 2007 Ford Expedition. The install process was relatively simple as these are complete assemblies that bolt right in. So far I have been very happy with the ride quality and will also purchase this brand to replace my front units as well.

I spend 4 hrs removing the worn struts (everything is easy except the conical bolt in the upper control arm, stuck good...) to find that these didn't fit even though the fitment selector said they would, Monroe's website said they would, and RockAuto said they would. It looks like the bolt pattern on top does not match what came off the vehicle. I tried to turn the top mounting plate to see if it was just indexed wrong but couldn't get it to move. Maybe I just got a part that was made wrong? I do recommend a 15mm ratchet wrench to remove the top 3 bolts, they take FOREVER with a regular box end wrench. Time to go pay over twice as much at the dealer because I don't have the time to try it again.
