Good construction, amply sized, and provides a comfortable level of support. Instantly alleviated a good portion of low back pain owing to slumped posture, (hip/pelvis tilt) that, despite being physically fit, can result from hours of sitting in desk chair. To suit the slightly downward-tipping seat, (this particular desk chair seat is deep and angles downward towards the back of the chair like some car seats), I place the wedge further forward; the narrow end of the wedge meets the front edge of the chair seat; the very opposite, thickest end of the wedge is directly under tailbone. The tailbone placement is what matters, (for me). With the thicker end of the wedge directly under tailbone, the tilt is subtle. Tending to think that a higher-raked wedge or one with more stiffness, could possibly exceed the needed adjustment and cause other off-set issues. The next level of support would be padding for lumbar and thoracic which attaches to the seat back, which I believe this company also makes. Then the rest of the spine can remain straight and supported as well. Thanks very much!!

I have no idea what's up with some of these negative reviews!! I am 6'9" and 295lbs and this cushion works absolutely well. I actually purchased it for me, and figured I would show it to a family member to see if they would be interested in it, as they are always complaining that the buttocks hurt or as they say (Their Seat Bones are hurting) Also, was told they started to feel the legs hurting on each side and so when this came in; they sat on it and at first they said they would think about it. A little while later (about 20 mins), they came into my room and said if the could try it again. Well, they have not come back and as I write this review, I asked if I could have it back and they replied >>>it's awesome; the pain is gone!<<<<< (One thing to note: at first they felt they would fall forward when I sat them on it the very first time), Well, I adjusted the seat (Lowered it a bit ) and Voilà... That was it.. Remember that this cushion is thicker than most that you will see out there.... So that will raise you a bit! So if you get something like this, I would recommend adjusting the seat height a bit. Other than that! This cushion stays true to the thickness and comfort. Lastly, in case you're wondering; the person using it stands at 5'8" (which why I adjusted the seat height and in at 137lbs. (If she says the pain is gone and it's comfortable; then I am happy!!).

I have purchased 4 Bonmedico seat cushions2 - donuts (standard and large).2 - seat cushions (standard and large)The donuts are NOT memory foam but a firm foam. The seat cushions ARE memory foam. However - I actually prefer the donuts that are not memory foam. The reason is that I sit for hours in a chair working on a computer each day so I sit on one of these items. After about 1 hour the memory foam is squashed down and my butt hurts. The donuts keep me elevated so I can sit for hours without discomfort.The larger donut in the attached picture was purchased in 2017 - I don't know if I ever washed the covers until now - but when I took it off, all the cooling gel pad was deteriorated and a MESS! It was no longer attached but in a ball in the front/back ends.

It was delivered quickly and customer service was quick to respond to my inquiry regarding whether my particular body type/ frame was better suited for the standard vs. large size as there is no guidance in the main description. Despite the rep suggesting to stick with the standard size based on the stats I gave, I had already ordered a large and it works like a charm. For reference, I’m 6’3” and 188 lbs but more of a medium body frame with a very male/android pelvis. No wide set hips for me!It does perform what it claims to do (i.e. relieve pressure off the inflamed, tender area), but I’m unsure just how ergonomic donut pillows are in general... I mean, it almost seems counterintuitive that you want to increase blood flow to the area since this exact mechanism in the setting of increased venous pressure created the hemorrhoid to begin with, but I digress.The cushion is comfy—it beats sitting directly on the inflamed tissue aggravating the issue—and I like the black mesh pillow cover as it allows continuous air circulation or at least never gets hot and sticky down there because the fabric can’t breathe. Added bonus: there’s a small handle embroidered into the mesh cover fabric making it super simple to carry on person AND it came with an external pillow bag with handles, albeit flimsy and easily torn to shreds, which holds the entire pillow, too! Perhaps I overlooked these features in the product description, but these minor details surprised me in a good way!Honestly, with the fabric handle built in the black mesh cover itself, I’m more inclined to use the additional carrying bag to tote around an actual pillow like one that’s used for sleep while supporting my head and neck. Ha! And if that wasn’t enough, the seller is sending yet ANOTHER gift just as a thank you for purchasing this fantastic Bonmedico product!

I have purchased three of these pillows (one for different chairs in different locations). As a product, the donut pillows have worked great for me and my nether regions (with out getting graphic). So on that front, I rate it a five star.However, while I'm staying in a remote location, I thought I'd pick up the third pillow to use there. When I got it, I discovered that it had already been previously opened and obviously returned. As such, I was shipped someone else's return, and that irritates me to no end.
