Shop rags
Very good and absorbent.

Great shop towels
They come with a recommendation to wash them to remove any lint. If you wash them, they'll shrink some. They end up about 12 inches square. Still, good value.

Shop Rag 101
Good shop quality rags intended to wipe your hands from grease and oil, undercarriage crud and such. These were never intended to be used for detailing nor for soaking up water because they don't have the thickness to absorb and hold water or water based products. Knock over your beer or soft drink don't expect these to soak it up unless you use a dozen of them. Keep a roll of paper towels around for that.If you use these rags for grease and oil hand wiping and parts wiping do you really think you can save them up and throw them in your household washer???? Good luck with that. Take them to a laundromat. Back in the day most shops and gas stations got their rags from a laundry and uniform company and those companies rinsed these rags in solvent to get the petroleum based products out of the rags before machine washing them and they always leached out a little color even after repeated cleanings. It was always the newer rags that leached their color. Not the older faded rags so much. These rags look pretty fresh (new) to me.Some might have ugly stitching repairs. Because shop rags are usually recycled over and over, as they became torn or had a hole punched through them the rag vendor or servicer would simply stitch them up to close the hole or even stitch on a patch. Either way it wasn't pretty but did not prevent the rag from continued use.I have never counted my bulk rag purchases but if I did and I was shorted some then sure, I can send the whole lot back to amazon. It would be better (if I have the info) to contact the original vendor and see if they will send me what they shorted me. I'll bet most vendors would throw a few extra's in.If the price for the 100 pack is really cheap like these I'm not gonna sweat it over 5 to 10 rags. Beyond 10 somebody is being dishonest if I were to be short on every order. Now I feel I should be sheet counting my paper towel and toilet tissue rolls !!!!

Super linty
These will be good for cleaning garages or equipment. But after 4 washes to try and limit the lint left overs with little luck, these won’t be useful for windows, mirrors, or any other items you wouldn’t want to see chunky lint leftovers.

Count is off, size is off, and very poorly made even for shop rags.
I ordered green shop rags to use as cloth napkins for my household. They're cheap, thin, and if they get too yucky it isn't a big deal to toss as they wear out. These are NOT 14x14. They are clearly labelled 12x12. After laundering as instructed they shrink to considerably smaller. The shrinking doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the item being clearly labelled as 12x12, but it is listed for sale as 14x14.The count is also off. I had 98 and 95 in the two packages I purchased. They may sell these by weight. One of my rags had a candy wrapper sewn to it.I cannot recommend these. I've purchased red shop rags in store for use in the garage and not had any issues with them. These must be factory seconds being sold here with all the issues.Really watch your dryer when you dry these. I've had to empty the lint trap 3 times, vacuumed out the vent because it was spewing green lint out the side of my house, vacuumed the internals of the lint trap because even after emptying it still had lint in there, and now I'm running it on air dry no heat to pull out the rest of the lint.Update: 4 months later, and the color is still bleeding. Wash these separate from your other rags. The dye DOES stain. They no longer create wads of lint, but did for the first couple of months. They do still leave a hefty amount of lint, lint screen is full after drying these, but I don't have to vacuum out my vents and lint doesn't fly out of the outside vent hole.So far, none of the rags has come unraveled or developed holes. The candy wrapper is still firmly sewn into the hem of that one cloth, and is kind of a running joke in our household. So that says something about the quality of stitching I think. They've all shrunk considerably. Some into trapezoid shapes, some rectangles, and some into smaller squares.I'd still give these 1/5 stars, due to the dye still bleeding, the months of needing to vacuum out the dryer, and odd shapes these dry into. But, if I could rate durability I would rate these a 4/5, deducting one star for the dye bleed. I've used these in place of paper towels and paper napkins in the kitchen and dining room, and they've been washed once or twice a week for 4 months now.
