DELTA 79618-BN Windemere 18 Inch -towel Bar Rack, SpotShield Brushed Nickel

Purchased these chrome Delta products three times for 2 homes. The first 3 years ago and they are as beautiful as the day I installed them. They are sturdy, polished and priced right for my budget. I shop for quality that I can afford and these have not disappointed. I installed almost all of them myself b/c I have the tools needed. Borrow them from neighbors, if you must, to do a nice job. If the directions are followed as directed you'll have a very nice finished new look. I did it and I'm 77. Highly recommended.

This bar was easy to install. It came with a guide to tape to the wall to know where the screws went; it was spot on for screw placement. It's attractive. The end pieces don't seem to fit as securely and snugly as they should; I pulled off a towel and one of the end pieces came off the wall. (It didn't pull out of the wall, just lifted off its bracket. )

These are good quality but not as easy to install as the 24” towel bars. Wish they had the same mountain system and didn’t need Allen wrenches. Better instructions could have been provided - had to look them up and nothing came with these. Mount the backing plates with the bowed side against the wall (against your intuition to mount the flat side to the wall). Once they were in place, they looked excellent.

This towel bar looks great. My only complaints are:1. The template it comes with just gave me grief. It didn't help at all. There is no way you can tape a folded piece of paper to the wall and level it. I just measured the old fashioned way.2. It's a little short for two of my towels. But 24" seems to be standard with these so I guess it can't really be helped. The towel bar I had up before this one was longer and fit two folded towels just fine. Oh well. It's not that big of a dealCheck out my pictures to get what I mean. Also FYI I ordered this on Amazon twice but from other sellers- not fulfilled by Amazon because they were a few bucks cheaper and I was sent the same hook rail both times. So I sucked it up and chose the Amazon fulfilled option and finally got the actual product. So watch out for that.

I like the look and feel, and the fact that it is not as fat as some of the towel bars I looked at. The template is not exactly matched up to make a tight fit, so that the bar doesn't spin around, but we solved that problem by putting a metal washer in the end between the bar and the end cap. It works great! Another way is to turn the end cap just slightly down so that it prevents the bar from spinning. Otherwise, I like everything about it!

At first I received the 24" width one by mistake, but the issue was corrected quickly and I received the 18" bar. This fit perfectly in the space I had for it. Looks just like the picture, and does what it's supposed to... holds my towels. :) It looks just like the image. If you want the matching set, they had other pieces on Amazon like the 24" bar, toilet paper holder, round single towel holder, and a hook.My contractor installed it because he installed all of my bathroom fixtures. I have floor to ceiling tile on my walls. He liked that the bar has set screws, so it's sturdy and secure.

Very easy to install, some wiggle room if you're off just a tad. Plus, it installs without needing an allen wrench to be turned every millimeter on the underside. I put in three of these - easiest rack install I've ever had.

Very low quality... cannot seem to lock it completely in place, so rattles a bit when touched the wrong way.
