2015 JKU 430N Back Up Camera - Install Notes!
Used this harness on a 2015 JKU with the 430N NAV radio to install a backup camera. The 430N has an extra/open female port on the back of the radio that this harness will plug directly to. Worked great, direct plug and play. To eliminate all the extra wires in the harness that you may not need, I actually cut off the male end (the end you need to plug into the 430N) leaving about 4 inches of wire and just soldered the video in RCA (2 wires) to the male end of the harness directly. This may seem a little confusing, but it really is very straight forward. All the wires are color coded and by doing this eliminated all the other unnecessary wires. Altering the harness is just personal preference, the harness would work fine as is. Along with this I purchased a female-to-female adapter and camera (link and notes below)Below is a high-level summary on how to get this project done.Install Notes:1. Mount camera - The camera is a personal preference and is all based on how you want to position it. For now I choose to mount mine under the bumper and not drill a hole in the bumper for a surface mount . There is a drain hole plug perfectly mounted under the jack/jack tools that you can run the wires from the camera to the inside of the Jeep. Tie the camera power lead to the reverse power lead in the tail light. I choose the right side (passenger side) and when removing the tail light the wire for reverse power was white with a grey stripe.Camera: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GSFIJS6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00- Run the RCA wire lead from the back to the front of the Jeep. From the jack/jack tool area make the connection to the RCA/wire that will run to the front of the Jeep to hook into the radio and the power lead that will run to the tail light. This is fairly easy to run under the carpet and along the right side molding to the front of the Jeep up behind the glove box. To run the power lead to the right tail light you will need to remove the right side plastic cover. Note: remove the two clips in the floor and there is a nut holding the plastic cover on at the top under the cover where the seat belt attaches. Remove this nut and and the two floor screws and the cover will pull out for you to run the camera power lead into the right tail light cavity. Also, I used the nut/bolt for the cover as the mounting location for the camera ground.- Remove the Radio - There are video's on YouTube for this which is fairly straight forward - there are four screws to remove the center dash section - two under the steering column, one behind the power widow switches (power window switches pull straight out) and one under the tray on top the dash. Remove these four screws and pop the dash out, then remove the radio by removing the four screws that hold it in (radio slides right out).- Plug in your harness and route the RCA wire down and connect it to the RCA wire lead that you ran from the camera in the rear (this is where you need your female-to-female connector). I made my connection by removing the glove box and attaching the two ends together behind it. Another reason why I recommend doing this on the right side (passenger) since its much easier to run the wire from the radio down right behind the glove box. All fairly easy and visible.Female-to-female RCA: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002J2DD6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00- Flash your Radio at the dealership (will not work otherwise) - Note! You must have all the above work completed prior to going to the dealership. They can not flash the 430N unless it sees a camera tied in and ready to go. Make an appointment ahead of time, tell them you want to flash your radio for a back up camera and they will know what to do. It took my dealership about 45 minutes and $110 (rip off, but necessary!).- You are done! - What a great little project, not very hard, fairly low cost with a very nice result. When you put the Jeep in reverse, the camera instantly goes on and displays on the screen. If anyone has any questions let me know!If you found my review helpful, please feel free to indicate it below. Thanks! :)

Works as intended.
PAC CHYRVD Rear Video Retention Cable For Select Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Vehicles 2008-2012 I have a 730n RHR and the plug was very tight, good thing it works because that's where it will remain! My install is on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon - Hard Rock Automatic transmission. There are two configurations for this harness,#1. For an external DVD player out to your HU and a headrest, also a backup camera input.#2. For your Head Unit DVD out to a headrest, and a backup camera input.I am using #2. I did not cut anything, just a zip tie and electrical tape to bundle it up for stowage behind the HU, then the back up camera and "Audio/Video Output From DVD Player" plugs I routed down below the glove box. Don't forget to get a RCA female/female coupler to connect your camera cable to the harness - both male.I had the dealership enable the backup camera "Dealer Installed Option - Code: XACA - ParkView(TM) Rear Back-Up Camera" and "Dealer Installed Option - Code: 5NDA - Mopar Headrest DVD. The back up camera works great but have not plugged in a monitor to see if a movie will play yet. GERI waterproof CCD Car rear view high-definition night-vision general reversing camera This camera is pretty good, it came with all the cables and hardware needed for the install. The bracket is screwed to the back, so any adjustments will be made by bending it.My install is on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon - Hard Rock Automatic transmission. Here is MY camera location specifics 1-3 below.1. Camera height from ground: 51"2. LED light orientation: bottom or down. (The main product picture shows it upside down)3. Lens angle: 60 degrees. (0 degrees would be looking at the ground and 90 degrees would point straight to the horizon)The picture of the video is worse than reality, picture quality is good and is acceptable. The guidance lines are permanent and are 7' to the green line, 3' to the Yellow line, and 2' at the Red line - for my installation.

DOES work with the 430 RBZ radio on 2015 Jeep Wrangler.
Although an earlier post on Amazon from Dec 2015 said it will not work with the RBZ radio, and a tech guy from Pac Audio who sells it for 59 bucks, also said it would not work without the Lockpick sold separately. Some confusion with the dealer over federal law regarding flashing the radio. They are allowed to flash t he computer to enable the backup camera to work, but not to enable the ves. system. Separate flashes for the backup and ves. 50 bucks from my dealer. First they tried to tell me they could not do it, unless a service center authorized by them did the install. Contacted salesman who sold me the Jeep, the Sales manager, and the Service manager, and finally got it done. One hour of arguing, and a 15 minute flash. You might want to find a dealer who agrees to the flash before you install camera, and get a price. I've seen everything from 50 bucks, up to 200.00.
