Doing The Split - Connecting a Modern Screen To an Older PC
Just two words: Works great! Unlike one other adapter, which needed unplugging the power to get a signal, this one plugged in, synced, and got a signal right out of the box. Not a single issue so far. I am using it on a PC that has a VGA output next to HDMI I am using with a smaller screen. The image quality is less crisp as through a direct HDMI connection. If it's about utilizing an existing VGA output on a computer, I suggest checking the USB-ports. If fast USB 3.0 is supported, a USB-HDMI adapter (or docking station) is the better solution.I like the cable length to the adapter. It has the right amount of length to not interfere with other connectors, but short enough to not worry where to put it. So it dangles from the connector, which is fine because VGA A D-SUB connectors have SCREWS to hold the plug to the port. Man I miss these! Yes, I am looking at you, USB!

Work fine, though no audio out for 2nd display with VGA; may make more sense to get USB to HDMI
I have an old desktop computer. I replaced my graphics card last year so that could have an HDMI output, but the card only has one. I wanted to be able to connect it to multiple other devices, some of which only have HDMI inputs. This worked fine for that application. I like that this device also has a 3.5mm audio jack since a VGA cable does not carry audio. I like that this also has two outputs, one HMDI and one VGA. However, I don’t understand why the output VGA doesn’t also have a 3.5mm audio out jack. So, you can carry your AV signal from you source device to one destination device, such as a TV, over HDMI, but if you want to add in a second destination device, you can only send the video portion. I suppose that’s fine if the VGA output signal is going to a device next to the source device and the source device has speakers, but if you are sending it to a device further away and want audio, you’d have to figure out another way to send the audio signal. This device also needs to be powered via an included USB cable. As another reviewer mentioned, you could just get a USB to HDMI converter, which could potentially provide a better signal, and it would simplify things by requiring fewer things hooked up. This does work fine, though, and may be a better fit for some situations.

Only VGA to HDMI adapter received.
I was expecting a splitter with HDMI and VGA as output but received wrong item from seller I believe. Returning back. The product description and photos are different from the actual product.
