I have been filing my feet for ages and have tried it all. I was surprised to see this. It almost appears like a piece of glass or real heavy plastic. The only thing I felt was lacking was instructions on how to use it. I tried it dry and plan to try it wet but I'm thinking it probably works best dry.The two files come in a tin and are nestled in foam. I'd say it would make a good gift if it included instructions.I tried both the oval one and the smaller file. The filing surface is the same but the large one is better for larger areas like the heel and bottom of the foot and the smaller one is better for tops of toes or other areas that might be harder to reach.The oval shape of the large one is nice and allows you to grip it in the palm of your hand and work the file in a circular motion.It actually takes off a good amount of callous but leaves a smooth surface more like a fine foot file.The really nice thing about this is that I can rinse it under water and get it completely clean. I feel it's so much easier to to keep it clean whereas an emory board type file will always leave residue behind.Very nice ...only thing lacking is instructions.Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Love these glass files for thickened skin and calluses. They remove thickened skin and leave your skin super smooth like it's been buffed. Not like the metal files that are like sand paper or cheese graters. Sure the metal ones remove thickened skin and calluses too. But they leave the surface of your skin torn up and even rougher than before.I like this set because the glass files are not attached to a plastic handle. These are better for small corners and tight spaces. The smaller rectangular file is great for around the nails, tips of the toe, etc. The larger egg shaped one is good for all over. I also have one with a handle (sold separately) that I find useful when I'm not feeling very flexible. It helps me reach.If your skin is really thick, don't expect to remove it all at once. Remove and smooth a little at a time. It may take a couple of sessions a few days apart to get your skin the way you want. You'll get there.Ditch the metal files and sand paper. These glass files are the way to go!

Honestly, I ordered these because I didn’t believe they could possibly work.All my life I’ve been using extremely rough products (pumice, synthetic pumice, metal rasps) to scrub away the dead skin on my feet. I have a couple of glass files and nano-glass buffers that shine my nails and didn’t see how these could possibly remove any skin.Immediately upon receiving it I pulled it out, took off a sock and tried it. What you see in the photo is the result of about 30 seconds! I’m going to dump all the rough stuff and rely on these in the future. This method has to be better for your skin...you’re really smoothing it out instead of creating more rough texture and possibly even damaging your skin! They’re even reasonably priced! Win!
