Royal Sovereign USD Coin Sorter, Patented Anti-Jam Technology and Coin Wrapper Starter Pack (CO-1000N)

I bought this coin sorter to use counting tip money (Chicago banks no longer let you deposit change unless they are rolled) so I picked this one after a cheap plastic one broke. And I really think this is a great product, especially for the price. The hopper can fit about two big handfuls of change at once, and you can turn the machine off quick when a stack is full. So you don't get change flying everywhere which is nice. The sorter also has a slight clicking noise ( which is a mechanism that keeps the hopper from getting jammed). By relatively the machine isn't too noisy. The only downside is that it's hard to sort coins when you place the paper coin wrappers in the slots- if they aren't 100% round, the coins won't fall in. But this goes for pretty much every sorter. What I do is wait until a slot is filled, then grab a wrapper and shove it down the coins and it works pretty well- takes a second to get a rythm going. As for the machine itself, its a good size for places without a lot of space, it's made of a very hard plastic, and it can clean it with a dry paper towel to get the built up oil out of the hopper, since it tends to collect on coins.In all, this is th best option I've found for the price. It's not a counter, just a sorter. I've been happy with it. And P.S. it only comes with only a few starter coin wrappers, so pick some up from a bank or the dollar store!

Pretty decent sorter. My 6 yo had a large jar of change collected and was able to use this independently (with adult oversight) to roll her change and deposit into her savings account. The only issues we had with the $250 we rolled was some of the out put slots would clog up especially if the coin was covered in residue and that caused the backed up coins to start being forced out other slots thus mixing the coins up. The other issue had nothing to do with the machine but there was a few non american or non standard coins slipped in that then got stuck internally somewhere inside. It didn't cause sorting issues but I could hear them rattling around but not coming out. The only was to get them out was disassemble the machine which wasn't too bad. So watch that non standard coins are mixed it. Maybe it should have an output tray to spit out non standard so you don't have to dig them out. Those two issues is why I didn't give it the 5th star. I do like the over flow tray for when rolls get full. And it puts space in the rolls so it's filling the roll precisely and once filled, coins slide off the top into overflow tray. When you take the roll off the machine, the space is there to close the roll.Overall, it was accurate, easy to use, fast and did the job. Good value for the price.

Im not a business or anyone that needs to sort a large amount of coins daily. Im just a guy who dumps his loose change in various places, and it amassed in little piles and collects dirt inside my cars coin tray etc... I've thought about getting a coin sorter for YEARS now but never felt it was really justified, like maybe I should just stop being lazy with my change... 😂Having said that, I finally got sick of re-collecting the dumped change or not having a real place to put it or have any purpose and said screw it. I opted for this one cause it said it had jam preventing feature. And so far, I have to friggen tell you, I think this is the most exciting purchase I've made in years, however dumb that sounds. 😂I now have a place to dump my change, *officially!* But now I actually know how much money I'm collecting! And I bought some coin rolls to go with it, and its really easy and straightforward, and I dont have to pay coinstar a percentage to do it for me. So, I had $64 (plus whatever change wasn't enough to be in a coin roll yet) and so in a way, I can kindof say this item paid for itself.Its a little noisy (to be expected) and doesn't come with much in the way of any fancy features, but it seems to work quite well, and hasn't jammed or anything. You do need to keep an eye on the feeder funnel, too many coins at once get stuck on each other and you may need to jiggle them around to make them go into the chute. Other than that it works as advertised and I friggen love just not having messes of coins collecting lint. Its kindof exciting to drop money into it and let it do its thing and feel like I'm actually getting money back. Its silly, and I'm just a regular individual and not a business owner who sorts a lot of coins daily or anyghing, but I actually kindof love it.I would offer, if you ARE a business owner who is gonna be doing a large amount of coins daily, I COULD see wanting slightly more features and sleekness to it (like the funnel accepting more coins without them clogging each other) but if its not that serious, this thing is pretty cool.
