This product is truly remarkable. How did this small Andis company get so many things right when the two major players, Braun and Norelco are missing the boat? Let me tell you what I mean and about the best features. Design The razor is packaged like an Apple device. Opening it provides the customer with a sense of confidence, as the product oozes confidence in its tightly integrated box. The design of the razor is sleek, beautiful, minimal and as a result is super easy to use. The razor has a soft touch area on it, is matte, and it has beautiful gold colored metal accents. It is the perfect size and it’s straight (non curved) design allows it to be packed in a Dopp kit easily. There is one button. It controls on and off. It is also used to lock the device to inadvertently keep it from turning on in a luggage. To lock it press and hold for 5 seconds until the light flashes. To unlock press and hold until it turns on (about 5 seconds). This also makes it an excellent travel razor. There are three LEDs that show charge level and status. Charging is done in about an hour I believe. I believe you get two hours of use but this razor will work in less than half of the time as it’s competitors (more on that below). There is one USB-C port (more on that below, as well). There is also a cover that magnetically attaches to the top to protect the foil. Under the magnetic cover is the foil. The cover (foil) removes easily but is secure at the same time. Cleaning is super easy with an included brush. Simply brush the foil off into the sink. The plastic used on this razor is thick and feels premium. Use As mentioned it is simple to use. Press the button to start and the motor hums alive. Press again and it is off. The shaver shaved extremely close. In about 30 seconds I shaved my entire face so close that I thought I used a blade, or as my wife said, it felt as though it was waxed. I tried my chest next. Super fast and again felt waxed. The shaver feels like it shaving so close it will give you razor burn but it doesn’t. I have super sensitive skin. You can also use this as a wet razor but I only used it dry. So in theory you could also wash the razor off in a sink. My Braun and Norelco razors (both only a couple years old and about $100 and $200 respectively), required longer shave times going over the spots multiple times. With the Andis razor one pass shaved the area clear of hair. This razor shaves a good solid stubble to absolute smoothness on one single pass. On longer hair (say 1/2 inch) it would be best to trim that with a different razor or keep passing over it until it cuts it. I tried it on longer armpit hair and although it eventually cut it, it required multiple passes. USB-C The most magical part of this razor is that it comes with a USB-C charger that plugs into the wall. I will only use the wall charger when home and plan to bring a simple USB-C cord with me when on the road. The big razor companies are missing out using proprietary chargers or building special holders that charge the razor and clean the head. I would imagine most people don’t want this today, as they crave simplicity. No one certainly wants to travel with a huge charging holder that is proprietary or bring more cords on the road, let alone have to keep track of that stuff at home. Plus, all of these companies tout being “green” but the lack of USB-C and giant plastic holders that use special cleaners show their true motive. What is Missing The only thing missing on the sleek packaged, amazing Andis razor is a tight and small case and a small sideburn trimmer. Even if we had an option to buy a case afterwards, that would be welcome as this razor is an excellent travel companion. I also don’t mind not having a sideburn trimmer as I have other options and soon I hope they will be Andis options. Bottom Line I love this razor and I have already told many people in the first few hours of ownership about it. This product will make me consider other Andis options. I hope Andis takes on Philips Norelco’s OneBlade. I love the OneBlade product, but it could use massive improvements including more power, faster charge times, sleeker design, USB-C, and closer shaving capability. Andis is a top end company and this razor proves it.

I've used just about every brand of shaver; Braun, Panasonic, Norelco, Remington, Wahl. While some were good, none of them have given me as close and as comfortable as have as the Andis ReSurge. The ReSurge is an attractive shaver and the packaging is on a whole other level than any of the other brands. It is well-weighted and handles very well in my hands and holds a long charge which is displayed by three led lights. Unlike most other shavers, the foil head is "staggered" one blade is higher than the others. There is a third cutter for longer hairs in between the two blades. While the head does pivot, it doesn't pivot as easily as other pivoting head shavers I've used. It takes far more pressure to pivot the head on the ReSurge. However, I prefer a non-pivoting head so I don't view this as a negative. The cover cap is magnetic which holds firmly to the shaver. Other shavers use snap-on plastic covers, some of which don't hold well. My Braun Series 6 shaver did not even come with a cover, it's an extra-cost option. To repeat, this is the best shaver I've ever used. The styling, packaging, and shaving performance makes this a fantastic shaver. For what you get, the price is ridiculously low.

I’d been using an older Andis shaver and it has always given me a really close shave quickly and they’re priced way below a lot of premium shavers that don’t give as close a shave and take their sweet time doing it. This shaver is the update I’ve been waiting for and I didn’t know I was waiting for it. It’s just as fast and close as the previous one, but it’s wet / dry, it a lot easier to clean (because it’s wet / dry), has a much nicer charging setup and a much longer lasting battery, is better for travel with its locking feature, and has a nicer magnetic cap to protect the head. And it’s even priced a few dollars below the previous model. I’ve been using the previous version for 10-15 years. I’ll probably be using this for at least as long unless they come out with something even better.

I have owned Norelco, Braun, Panasonic, Remington and a number of off-brands. This razor beats them all by a mile. I get a very close, comfortable shave with little to no irritation. In fact, the other day I shaved with a high quality blade and afterwards had to touch up my blade-shave with this electric and it got what my blade missed! It travels well, has a feature that eliminates the possibility of the razor accidentally turning on while traveling. I am a very happy customer and I wasn’t paid nor did I receive anything in exchange for this review. Great razor, in fact, the best I’ve ever owned!

I used to use the a regular shaver, and although the shave was the best in terms of closeness, I was often getting nicks and cuts. So I swapped to the Panasonic Arc4. It gave me a shave that was almost on par with a regular shaver. The problem was that the unit itself was expensive, and the replacement blades was too expensive for my blood as well. I've used several other shavers, and they either gave me nicks and cuts, or didn't give me the close shave I was looking for. Here comes this shaver, it's affordable and the replacement blades are fair. This gave me a close shave that was on par with the more expensive Panasonic Arc4. The problem for me was using it dry, it gave me skin irritation. And I had to go over my neck several times. Using it with a shaving cream and also a post shaving balm solved most of my issues. With the price of this shaver and replacement blades, I think this is probably the best in its class.

I've been using the shaver for barely a month after getting the item, average usage about 2-3 times per week, & the foil just disintegrated during my last shaving session, contacted the customer service for replacement foil & was told that the foil is a wear & tear component, thus will not be covered via warranty, really pathetic, for such sub-standard quality foil part, might as well get a cheaper price alternative, & I'm quite sure the foil will last much longer than this, first purchase of andis product, will be the last as well, crappy product quality & nonchalant after-sales support

Great shave, battery lasts awhile, USB-C charging is great for travel, easy to clean, looks fancy too. I use it to shave my head and I prefer this over using my double edge safety razor.

Máquina muito boa excelente pra acabamento e finalização na barba praticamente uso de navalhas e zero mais tem um probleminha nela um defeito de dificuldade pra desmonta pra fazer a limpeza dos pelo que ela absorve comprei a minha faz 3 semanas que uso ela vai chegar uma hora que vou ter que abrir pra desmonta ela pra limpa estou quebrando a cabeça pra desmonta a parte de cima dela pra restaura a limpeza muito difícil de acessar e praticamente o risco de quebra é muito allto ou seja não sei o que fazer . Já olhei no YouTube pra ver se acho alguma ajuda mais nada no manual também não tem explicando ou seja vai chegar uma hora que ela vai trava. Esse é meu medo. Mais de resto ela é top de mais.

Used to shave face only... Very efficient and shaves a bit better than Braun 7 series but for 1/3 of the price. Although slightly "burns" the skin when compared to Philips rotary shaver but provides a closer shave. Can recommend 100% if you are looking for a foil shaver that performs well and looks fantastic...
