Worked exactly like described on Amazon... note: for my chevrolet application will require a hex wrench or bolt to adapt to hold fan belt pulley while removing fan/clutch assembly.

Saves time and bad word spewing
Saved me a lot of time, hassle and contributions to the bad word bank. I used these tools to remove the fan, to replace the water pump on my F-150 and had no problem removing the fan from the pulley. It's a great deal to get this tool, especially if you work on your own vehicles like I do.

NOT working and bend out on the FIRST use. Do NOT buy.
So, I tried to use it on my 2014 Range Rover Sport HSE with 3.0 Petrol.It has 36 nuts for the Fan Clutch.Once I put it all together and tried to rotate (in right direction) the 36 end of the wrench just bend out and the whole key just rotate over the nut. That's it!!I did NOT use any extender and I'm NO Jack Reacher, so I did NOT apply 500 lbs of torque!But anyway, the tool was rendered useless in less then 5 mins.Second note - the second tool to lock the pulley, very unstable and NOT really helping.At any rate, I went to Advanced Auto parts and bought whatever was there of the shelf and ta-da 5 mins later I was pulling the Fan clutch out of the car.In reality the best choice is to buy the REAL 36 wrench and use it, at least I ordered myself the real one.But, yeahhh - Kind of nice looking tool, but I would guess the steel is NOT really hardened and as result NOT really durable, NOT really tool :((((((

Difficult to use
What should be simple is not so simple. The holes on the tool are not aligned well and slighty too large, so it wont catch the screw. Seem like its not made for a bmw e46. You can make it work though, if you use a 10mm wrench and back out one screw on the waterpump pulley. The tool will then be able to catch the screw. Sturdy build quality.
