Good value for money
I purchased Arteck keyboard for my Surface Pro4 in Apr 2023 as a replacement of the original Microsoft Keyboard cover. I am happy with its performance and so far I cannot find any issue with the Arteck keyboard.

Good keyboard, touchpad has issues
Overall 4 star. This reviews is compare this cover with Microsoft type cover.Pros* Wireless* Better key positions* Almost identical key size and layout to original* PriceCons* Heavier* Thicker* Touchpad is not touch precision touchpad* Touchpad not as smooth as the original* Touchpad can affect typing* Touchpad need third party software to work withVerdictThis is a quite interesting product with flaws. Microsoft failed to produce a reliable wireless adaptor for its type cover a few years ago. This type cover solves the problem. Overall, it is not as good as Microsoft cover in terms of weight, typing and trackpad. However, the killing feature here is wireless. If you are looking for that feature, this is what you need. If you are looking for alternative type cover, cheaper type cover, it does the job too. If are not pursuing the wireless but the best experience, don't care the price, Microsoft type cover is your choice. If Artech can improve the touchpad to match the original cover, that will be amazing. At least, it will be much better if they can address it with a driver / software. I think people won't mind to pay a little more if they fix these issues. After all, you can use it wirelessly!Detailed reviewI have Microsoft type cover, Logitech K400Plus, and this cover now. Here is my detailed review. With this cover, I can lie back and place it on my lap, place my surface Pro high place or just on table, then start typing. The experience is superb. I can still type very easily. I can move my body back and forth, and place the cover on to table as well when I like. I can type easily even when I cross my legs and put it on my lap. I can place the keyboard anywhere on my desk I like, which is amazing. The experience with this is better than K400 Plus for some situations. As this let your palm to rest on the cover, and the trackpad is just next to your figure. While K400 Plus is an excellent wireless keyboard, the feeling of typing is a lot worse than this, and you need move your hand to the far right side to use the touchpad. If you are looking for something to use with a TV, where you could be 10 feet away from your PC, K400 Plus is far better, as WIFI connection is faster than Bluetooth. Otherwise, this is a perfect keyboard with trackpad to use with any PC with Bluetooth connection. It is heavier than the original cover. Same black edition, the original cover is 310g, this cover is 348g.It is thicker, probably 50% thinker than the original cover. I don't have a good tool to measure it yet.KeyboardThe most keys are exactly placed as same locations as the original cover. Big `Left Right` keys as the original. I really like it. Another brand has half sized of these keys and put `Page Up` and `Page Dn` as half size keys instead.`Home`, `PgUp`, `PgDn`, `End` is placed in better locations. When used with `Fn` and `Ctrl`, these keys are very handy for code navigation.`Ctrl + F10` to bring out opened windows, very handy. Then you can close it with `Ctrl + W` or tap the window directly. There is a key to let you know battery status with indictors on the cover. Those two indicator lights are nice to have. You can disable touchpad with `Fn + Space`, which is useful sometimes. You can lock the `Fn` Keys, really nice! The feeling of typing is slightly worse than the original cover, much better than K400 plus. Given the plus of above, I am quite happy with the keyboard. One last tip for people having K400 keyboard, You can install Logitech Option software, then connect the K400 board once. This will give you a On Screen Display(OSD) to show current Caps Lock status whenever you press the key. It is very nice to have.TouchpadThe trackpad is not shown as a touch pad in Win10 Device manager. It is treated as a mouse instead. Out of the box, the scroll direction is not natural. I googled and found I can change it by editing register value. However, it changes the zoom in/out too. I don't use that much and can use `Ctrl + / - ` to zoom in/out , so not a big issue. However, the pointer jumps / changes / dances randomly when typing, it can result in your cursor move to another place suddenly / or goes back to previous page then you lost all your typing. This never happens with the original type cover. It makes typing almost impossible sometimes. I need disable it to type properly. Later I found some solutions to workaround it.Personally I feel the scroll direction should be move down figure to scroll down, move up to scroll up. At least, this should be able to configured for users.Solution for the trackpad* Edit register key to change the scroll direction, you can google to find how to do it.* Use a software called re touchpad blocker to reduce the dancing of cursor when typing* Use` Fn + Space` to disable it completely when typing, remember to do it again to enable it when you need use it.After fixing the scroll direction issue, I am now able to move my two figures down to scroll down rather than scroll up!Touchpad blocker, this tool is excellent to workaround the issue. It reduce the chance of the dancing of cursor by 90% for me. I don't need bother to disable the touch pad completely now. I recommend it to anyone using this cover. Artech should really include this fix through a driver or software.

This is the keyboard Microsoft should have made.
Bought as a replacement for a years-old MS keyboard which came with the Surface. The minor downsides compared to the MS product: it's a little heavier, down to the battery I guess. The action feels a little more "clicky" and the plastic a little lower quality than the MS keyboard. To be clear though, this isn't a Fisher Price "My first keyboard" and it's nice to use. The Enter key is oblong and not an L-shape. And the fabric feels a little more synthetic than the MS one. These are all little deficiencies, though and without the advantage of the MS keyboard to compare against, don't think I'd have noticed.Downsides out of the way, the BT connection transforms the usability of the machine. I can place the screen on the other side of the desk, at the end of a desk sharing the screen, or on the tray table on a train or plane and work with the keyboard in my lap. I've dropped the kick-stand on the Surface into the magazine slot on a plane seat back and worked with the keyboard on the table, comfortable facing a screen at head height. The magnet is strong enough to hold the keyboard onto the Surface, with the keyboard dangling from the machine and battery life isn't an issue. It just makes using the Surface as a laptop an immensely more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Add to that the cost saving against the MS product and it's hard to make a case against this.

Excellent replacement
Purchased for a seldom used Surface for use for video calls, excellent as a cover and to type on, easy to set up, much better value than getting a branded version. I do forget to turn off the keyboard in between use, but it is quick to charge. 100% recommend.

Not compatible with surface pro 6
I bought this to replace the original keyboard. However only just tried to use it & realised the connections are different. Missed the return window so should have tested it sooner. Arteck have agreed to refund .great customer service. You may need to update which models keyboard is compatible with. Updated to 3 stars

Perfect
I bought this to replace my original keyboard for my surface pro. It connected via Bluetooth really easily. I was a little sceptical as it isn't a Microsoft product, but honestly wouldn't know the difference. Was super easy to connect and within minutes it was installed and works just as well as the more expensive Microsoft equivalent.
