Fit my 2000 boxster s

I purchased a pair of these to replace one of the sunvisor mirror lids on my Porsche Cayman. Had found an online review which said they were t he way to go when replacing Porsche's cheap cover. They come with instructions which are both more complicated, as well as not quite thorough enough, if that makes sense? But once you look at the visor mirror and the new cover, its pretty easy to figure out. Biggest issue is that after you insert one pin into the visor hole, you have to bend the new cover to get the other pin in place. At times you'll think you are going to snap the cover in half, but once the pin lines up, it goes in easily and the visor cover is good as new!

This took all of about about 5 minutes to install, and that was with me wasting time because I thought I needed a tool to push the metal retaining clips back to make this cover fit. NO, just pushed it into place. Fits perfectly and the mirror light works like a charm.Very satisfied. I figured everything that breaks on this Boxster would be super expensive to repair. This wasn't. But the nubs were still in place. The old cover broke at the hinges leaving the numb in place. So easy. . . Singing happy songs!

Poor design, even worse instructions.Next time I'll buy the Porsche part.

I have lighted visors in my 997 Turbo coupe. The mount points in my base were not broken so I did not need to use the screws. Was able to pop the cover base down, remove the two metal c shaped clips, popped this in place being sure the middle plastic tab of the cover was under the edge of the base, then put the clips back in and pushed the base back in place. Voila! Easier than expected and much easier than it looks on YouTube.

Ranked at 3 because they do what they're supposed to do, nothing more and nothing less. They were a good option to replace the failed vanity mirror covers on my 996. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. The covers snapped into place and fit/look like stock.

This works really well and saves you from having to buy the Vanity mirror which would cost you nearly 10 times the price. It is very easy to install and looks like the genuine part from Porsche.

Quality replacements. 4 stars due to the fact the small screws that claim to come in the package did not.
