If you're breaking them in, you might need a different size; price matters
My job requires me to be on my feet between 12 and 16 hours per day, 5 or 6 days each week. Dansko clogs have been a saving grace for much of my 15 year career, and are the only reason I am still able to work such long days. They absorb much of the shock from walking on hard surfaces, they accommodate swollen feet, they improve my posture - which alleviates a lot of back pain -, and the extra thickness of the sole keeps my feet warm and dry whilst walking in snow and on cold surfaces. I've owned five pairs of Dansko clogs over the last 10 years, and I have worn all of them until the insides were shredded and/or the toes were worn through. When it came time to replace my most recent pair, out of sheer curiosity and frugality I decided to compare Dansko to Sanita. I ordered 1 pair of Cabrio leather clogs and 1 pair of Patent Leather clogs from each company. The Dansko were the new XP, which purport to have memory foam inserts.A number of years ago, I started ordering my clogs one size bigger than my normal shoes. I'm not sure why clogs fit this way for me, but I get better support for my instep with the larger size. Moreover, my first couple of pairs of clogs were so stretched out after a couple of months of "breaking in", that they no longer looked professionally appropriate to wear with my uniform. A lot of people complain that the toe box on both the Dansko and Sanita clogs is narrow. I find that the toe box is sufficiently roomy if I order the next size up. If it makes a difference, my normal size is an 8 1/2medium, but I wear a 40medium (9.5-10m) in both Dansko and Sanita clogs. Since I began wearing the size 40 clogs, the toe box holds its shape and the leather doesn't crack as much on the sides. Furthermore, I feel like my feet are better supported, and I really don't feel any additional slippage. Additionally, the heels of my socks last longer. I've now owned 3 pairs of Dansko clogs in the larger size, and thus learned that these clogs DON'T NEED BREAKING IN. In my experience, if one must "break them in", one probably needs a bigger size. This is especially important to consider if one purchases patent leather, as the plasticized leather doesn't 'give' enough to really accommodate much stretching. Now for the comparison: there is no remarkable difference between the two brands - EXCEPT FOR THE PRICE. Each leather type looks very similar to its counterpart from the competing brand. The Dansko XP "memory foam" insert doesn't feel any more cushiony than the Sanita insert; however, the "memory foam" insert does seem to take up a little more space than the Sanita insert, making the Dansko feel a little, tiny bit tighter. Also the Dansko XP insert is a lovely, soft leather, which is not personally preferable due to its tendency to break down from the continuous friction of the foot moving around in the shoe. The Sanita insole is soft yet durable. The soles - or "platforms" - look similar and feel the same underfoot. The staples are the same quality, as are the no-slip treads. Neither shoe has better "workmanship" than the other, nor does one "squeak" more or "feel heavier". They seem to be relatively the same shoes except that the Sanitas were 2/3 the price of the Dansko. If you've never worn Dansko or Sanita clogs, or even if you've only worn Dansko, do yourself a favor and buy multiple pairs and do a fit/appearance comparison for yourself. Both Amazon and Zappos offer free shipping/returns on most shoes. Or, better yet, go get properly sized at a department store which carries the clogs. Many of my co-workers were able to be properly fitted for Danskos at Nordstrom. It is now my experience that if one wears a particular size in Dansko, one would likely wear the same size in Sanitas.I'm keeping the Sanita clogs for the singular reason that they cost less.

SANITA SANITA SANITA
I wear a different brand of shoes (one very similar to these which I won't mention). The first pair of those shoes I had for 6 years and wore to work every day (I'm a nurse). After 6 years of use, It was time for a new pair. So, I bought another pair. They lasted me only 6 month before the soles wore out, they squeaked, and hurt my feet. I wasn't not happy about paying 120 dollars for the shoes. So, I took to the internet. What I found out, the shoes I first bought, were made by Sanita but sold by another company (the pair I had that lasted 6 years was a sanita brand) the other pair, was not. But sold by the same company. I tried to find a local company that sold Sanita shoes and when I did, I ran there. I found that the shoes fit the exact same way, but they didn't have any Sanita's that were my style and size. So, I took to Amazon. I was so happy to find this pair of shoes for work. I put them on. LOVED them. I did have a learning curve because my ankle did twist out in the beginning of wearing them not a problem so much anymore. I have had these shoes no for probably a year and they still look just as good as they did the moment I got them in the mail. They also feel just as comfortable as they did the very first time I put them on. They don't squeak, they don't hurt, and they aren't wearing out after all this time. They are easy to clean when I get something on them and being a nurse that happens from time to time. When every anyone asks me if I am wearing "The shoe place that must not be named" I tell them. Nope these are better, they are SANITA!!! I am currently waiting for my second pair to come in. Should be here any moment.

After two foot injuries due to poor shoe support
I have worn the Sanita Women's Professional San Flex Closed Back (in Black Patent Leather) for the last six months. I work on my feet, walking, for 8-12 hours a day. After two foot injuries due to poor shoe support, my family doctor suggested this brand. After six months of wearing them exclusively, I have no foot problems and I walk comfortably all day.As for the patent leather, my shoes came from the manufacturer with a VERY thin layer of clear plastic (protective coating?). This thin layer began to peel and crack after a week of wear and continued to get worse until I decided to try to peel it all off. This came off easily and the shiny patent leather returned to its former beauty. I have no idea why, but this Saran Wrap-like coating was only on one shoe. Once removed, the shoe was beautiful and shiny. Some features that I really like about this shoe that are hard to find in other women's professional shoes are:Slight heel lift- The heel of the shoe is higher, but not so high that you're tilting forward all the time. It feels like it aids in good posture.Heel Support- The shoe has a harder material around the back of the heel that supports the back of the foot without any kind of rubbing or irritation. The heel support has helped my working feet the most.Arch Support- The arch supports are noticeable, but are not overwhelming.Leather Insoles- Professional ladies socks do not slide around inside them because of the nice leather insoles. Also, the shoe sizing chart they use is on point. My feet are slightly wide, and my Sanita's fit perfectly. Finally, I get complemented on these shoes several times a day. Apparently, they are attractive and stylish as well.

Best longwear shoes for hospitality industry workers !
Honestly these shoes saved my life, especially my back. Before these shoes I was wearing sneakers to work that I thought were comfy at the time but by the end of my 8-12 hour shifts my feet felt flat, my lower back was twinging and my legs were sore. The next day was rough. But first day in these shoes brought such a noticeable difference to the way I walked around, stood in better posture and managed to make it through the day with little to no pain.My only complaint is that the sole of the left shoe somehow started slipping around and became very uncomfortable until I had to readjust it....

Love my new shoes
These shoes are amazing. I work nursing 12 hours a day and theses are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. Highly recommend them.

Disappointed
Loved the colour but after only 1 month of wearing, a crease formed across the top, it eventually cracked completely and the red material began to lift off.

OTTIMO PRODOTTO - ricompro ;-)

Meravigliose!!
