Great book to learn to play a bass

pretty good on basics. but the text print is annoyingly faint and small. there is lots of room on the pages so there is no excuse.

It covers what you need to know, clearly and in an interesting way. Definitely value for dollar.

I bought this as a learning aid.

Such a great starting off book. I played music a bit 25 plus years ago and have done nothing since. The book just flows with no music reading needed at all, but it throws snippets in which are great to get a taste. So good to use what you learn for progressing further into playing bass and learning to read music in the future if that's what you fancy. I've really enjoyed it. It isn't overwhelming. I got some other books that go from 0-60 and left me overwhelmed. This is a great book. Learning bass is obviously difficult but this book is as accessable as you'll get.
