Surprisingly durable, needs a few improvements
This 12' x 20' canopy has survived 3 windstorms, and does OK with up to 8" light snow, and that's with both 6" and 1' extensions on the legs. I do have it anchored to a nearby tree, and put my own 25 lb. weights on 4 corners, which have moved a couple feet in a strong gust, so I just poured in-ground concrete footings with tie down loops. The weight bags it comes with fit loosely so you'd need a way to tie or clamp them to be effective. The 8 plastic tarp hooks and elastic broke the first year, so first I duct taped them, then I got a grommet kit and put in 2 grommets with bungees on each pole held with an SS clamp. The 2" extension bolts rusted and stuck out, so I've replaced the 16 of them with SS 1-3/4" bolts with cap nuts. The corner brace brackets just fit loosely on the pipes, and the 4 lower ones filled with water and caused streaks of rust. So I drilled drain holes in those 4, and caulked them well into place with clear RV caulk, so they stay dry inside and resist sliding. I added a bamboo diagonal brace and now it's quite firm and sturdy. The ball and bungee system is quick to put up, but if you get much snow, it creates a dip right above the cross bar, so it's better to run the bungees over the bar, and also coat the tarp with 303 or silicone spray to help snow slide off.One end did collapse when we got 9" of heavy snow and I didn't pull it off in time. The end I tied nylon cord across did not collapse, so this year I'm adding ratchet straps all around. I was able to straighten or shorten the 10 poles that got bent. I added 2' plumbing pipes, glued in with JB weld, to get it high enough to back the camper under it on the truck. This is a very sturdy frame, great corner brackets, good quality tarp, just needs reinforcement if you get extreme weather.

Great canopy
This is a great canopy and very versatile. I bought it to cover our back porch to shield us from the brutal Florida sun. We jazzed it up with string lights. We loved sitting outside with the projector screen hanging from the side to watch sports or movies at night. So many great memories in a few short months!I took the advice of other reviewers and bought much sturdier stakes and ratchet straps. The stakes I bought are HUGE spirals that claimed to hold 500 pounds of pressure and we used 8 of them. She survived a tropical storm and two hurricanes with no issues but sadly succomed to Hurricane Milton recently. I really think it would have survived Milton too but the ground was just too wet from 2 back-to-back hurricanes and lots of rain. The stakes came right out of the ground in the final few minutes of sustained hurricane force winds and the whole thing flew over our roof and landed in a crumpled mess in the front yard. I loved it and plan to repurchase another one.Pros: great size, affordable, nice quality, pretty sturdy if extra steps are taken to secure properlyCons: the instructions for assembly are only photos with no words. We figured it out but better instructions would have made a huge difference.

Eventually I got it to work
I ordered this for my girlfriend's car because she has a black interior. When it arrived I got 1 box. I contacted the seller and they said that the other box (since amazon doesnt let you give more than 1 tracking number for a single shipment even if its shipping multiple boxes) was still in transit and gave me the other tracking number. Well when that got here fedex had completely destroyed the box, plus damaged, and lost some of the posts. The seller promptly shipped out replacement pieces at no charge and forwarded on my pictures of the box to help them change their box design so this doesnt happen again.Once I started installing it however I ran into a couple of issues. The cover is basically duck tape without the threads inside of it so its not suuuper strong but I was expecting it to be a little thicker. The instructions get a little vague around step 4 when it tells you to put the cover on. It says to install the corner bungees first and then the rest. It shows a tiny area being magnified but the tarp has 2 holes in the corner areas so I wasnt sure which to use. I used the holes that are open to the outside at first and that was a HUGE pain to do. Dont use those. It reminds me of that far side cartoon with the scientists where they have detailed analysis of step 1 and then step 2 is "a miracle occurs" and step 3 is the final analysis and the second scientist goes "I think you can use a little more detail in step 2".It also doesnt tell you how to put the bungees on so I dont know if I did that tight enough or if they are going to blow off in the next breeze. I would much rather have had like 12" zipties to hold the thing on to be honest. The whole thing is shaky once its assembled because it has no cross bracing at the back end. 4 more poles and an X junction or 2 long poles that cross each other would have fixed a lot of that issue. I literally was holding the far corner and leaned on it and the whole thing moved.Lastly the sandbags velcro opening is kind of small to work with. The bag itself is divided down the center which makes it a 3-4" gap to fill what looks like a 12" wide bag. So use a garden trowel to fill it and use paver sand as it compacts better. The velcro on the straps of the sand bags dont allow you to get a good tight wrap around the poles either because the hook and loop dont go all the way down the strap so you have to put it on loose which just seems wrong.Over all though my baby's car is cooler under her ducktape fortress and shes happy so I'm happy.

Great Product & Excellent Customer Service!
I use this canopy as a cover for my pontoon boat. I installed it right next to my garage. The height adjusts from 9.5 to 11 feet, which was ideal for the extra height I needed. I was able to assemble and install it by myself. The assembly of the frame was very logical and well designed, and all the parts fit together well. I had one part of the assembly I didn't quite comprehend, but I contacted customer support and they replied right away and explained it to me. After 9 months, the canopy has held up very well and does not leak at all. Recently I backed into and bent one of my leg poles, and once again contacted them and they responded right away and sent a replacement for a small charge.I highly recommend this canopy for protection of your boats or vehicles, and their great customer service is a plus!
