Measurement
love the lamps. The ribs show some inside the shade but still looks nice. We have a high headboard so we measured to make sure it would fit not realizing the mount hole was dead center and would hit the bed. A hole was drilled lower on the black mount and that worked perfectly.

No on/off switch
I bought this set of sconces which are beautiful but the description did not include that they had no switches on them. We did not install the wiring to be operated with a wall switch so we had no way to turn them off and on. My husband was able to take them apart and add a switch to them and now all is well. But that should have been in the description.
