ACDelco gm Genuine Parts 15-4720 High Mount Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Kit

Replaced A/C clutch assembly, everything fit perfectly and works fine, only 1 weeks old so far.

When the bearing under the AC compressor pulley started to go I thought of just replacing the bearing. The bearing was starting to howl and screech and I figured the clutch was also on its way out so the entire assembly was replaced. No special tools are required other than retaining ring pliers and 45 degree or 90 degree ones work fine. I managed to do the job with the straight nose type, not easy to get in there but I got it. The clutch comes off with just a bit of tapping with a soft faced hammer. Do not loose the shim under it. The bearing slid off and I found the bearing was no longer tight fitting on the inner raceway on the compressor. I think some of the noise was from inner spinning as there was evidence of this. I put a bit of Loctite 603 retaining fluid under the bearing to help hold it onto the comressor.The kit fit on the Denso compressor perfectly and delivery was quick. This is an easy 1 hour job from start to finish and again, no special tools are needed. The space between the clutch and face is .016" to .024". A feeler gauge does the trick.

It when together easy, all parts fit, but 2 hours down the road and heard noise from under the hood and that was it. The packaging did not have any AC Delco logos on them, kind of makes you think. Amazon refunded very easy.

Solved my ac compressor clutch bearing whine- they don’t sell the bearings anymore (unless you get real creative with a grinder) so this was my best bet. Good fit on my 05 duramax (lly)

Installed this on an 05 Duramax do to a squeaking compressor clutch. Most people advised me to get a whole new compressor but this fixed my problem. Just make sure you have deep snap ring pliers!
