DILUMAMED Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing 4"x4"(Pack of 12), Manuka Honey Wound Care Bandage for Cuts, Scalds and Burns, Wound Dressing Products

This is a wonderful bandage for protecting open wounds.I have bought several boxes and a replacement for future need.

I take this and put it on with an additional bandage so I don't get all sticky. I have had a wound after surgery that has been taking long to heal. The healing has started showing improvement since I started using it only 3 days ago.

I’ve used this on a variety of wounds - from burns to stoma care, and have yet to be disappointed. It promotes healing much faster than other wound care products out there, including silver aliginate dressings. The only downside is that it’s sticky, and therefore a little tricky to use. But, I just keep a moistened and/or soapy sterile wipe nearby to take care of the sticky residue. I really do love this product. My only wish is that it were a little cheaper. It can get pricy for long term wound care.

But had to abandon use of honey gauze only after 1 week as my foot arch ulcer required a total contact cast for 8 weeks to heal.

My rescue greyhound has open wounds on his rt front leg. (He had a bit of a crash) after using the honey for 3 days, and now adding the patch s. Grey NEWS his open wounds are actually getting closed up!!!!I wash, then change his leg every day. I follow up with cotton gauge wrapping, then blue sticky wrapping to cover. He is so Happy!

Our Wound Care doc uses this on my wife's gash on her lower left leg, 2x4 inches. They apply an entire .5 oz tube to the dressing at the office. We bought this to use at home for our re-dressing in-between office visits. Only issue with this particular product is there isn't enough manuka honey on the pad. It is absorbed quickly, allowing the sore to dry out and the gauze, even the supposed non-stick kind, to stick to the wound. Making it painful to remove the next day. So, instead of changing the bandage every 2 days, I have to change it every day. As a workaround. I remove one side of the plastic cover and fold the pad in half; effectively doubling the honey content. Then remove the other side and apply to her wound. Before it healed to the roughly 2x4 size wound, I stuck to pads together and applied it. I have checked other products but it is the best value for the product and much cheaper than buying the squeeze on tubes. So we will continue to order this product.
