Great Collar. Great Price
These collars are working very well for killing ticks. My beagle got out of the yard and went for a run in the woods all day. The next day I put this collar on him and then one day later took him to the vet. He was dropping little small ticks all over the vets office. His hair was so thick I didn't even notice them. It was kind of embarrassing but I did explain to the vet what happened. The same thing happened with my hound. He ran off for a day and came home loaded with ticks which started falling off after a few hours of him being back home. He is a couch potato and I was able to see the ticks on him. He managed to get out twice over the course of a week and I have pulled at least 60 ticks off of him. All were dead or dying. The one thing I don't like about the collar is that it comes off easily. My hound did lose one of his Adam's collars in the woods, but luckily I had a spare. So far I have not seen any fleas this season but out of the 6 dogs I have that wear these collars, all ticks are dead or dying. The other dogs don't seem to pick up ticks like the hounds. I did shave the big hairy dogs (great Pyrenees), so I cannot attest to the collars working thru a lot of hair, but they do work on my 100 pound dog. Some people may not understand how flea and tick meds work. The pest DOES have to bite the animal to die. There does not seem to be a repellent factor. Killing pests before they have a chance to breed and lay thousands of eggs will eventually eradicate any pest problem in your yard or home, and prevent future issues. Your pet may still get bitten by the occasional bug if a visitor brings one in, or he goes for walks outside his own territory, but they won't be able to create an infestation and the problem is greatly minimized. Hopefully soon, there will be a repellant action, but in the meantime, I suggest using a repellant product on your dog and yourself if you'll be in tick or flea territory.

They work great but, there are things you should know........
OK, first let me say that Adams flea and tick collars work as advertised. Yup, they definitely kill ticks. In fact, they work so well, I NOW KILL TICKS when they bite me! Not really Adam's fault exactly. But if you play with and pet your dogs a lot. Or, like to roll around on the bed and play fight, they sleep with you, you might want to look into natural options for flea and tick control. Also, if your dog starts acting all hyperactive like they got a dose of METH after ANY sort of flea and tick treatment. Stop using those products on them as they are having a bad reaction. this can happen within hours of the shot, days for the liquids like Advantix and up to months for the collars. We have tried all 3 on one of our dogs and even the collars effected him after a year and a half. Again, I'm not trying to bash Adams. Just trying to let folks know there might be a downside with the flea and tick products in general. If you have an outside dog that can tolerate these treatments and you live in the woods like we do, by all means, these collars work wonders. But if you spend a lot of "up close" time with your dogs, be advised that you WILL be exposed to the active ingredients in this collar. And those ingredients are NOT APPROVED FOR HUMANS.

Not working until we waiting 3 weeks!
We had one of these flea collars left from a few years back and it worked great! This new one took 3 weeks to start working! In the mean time, we ha to flea bath the dogs and spray the house. My dog was covered in fleas! Not sure I would buy again.

Fulfilled Promise - Skin Sensitivity
I bought the 2-pack, one for my Shih Tzu and the other for my Frenchie. Positive note: no fleas found on either dog after wearing for over a week, and they’re very easy to size for various sized dogs. Drawbacks: the scent is mildly unpleasant (you have to be close to smell it), and my Shih Tzu who has never had allergy issues had a negative reaction (his skin under his chin near the collar turned pink, and he scratched it hard enough to break the skin). My Frenchie had no adverse reactions even though he has several allergy issues. The collars do what they promise: repel fleas and are easily sizable. My little Shih Tzu just doesn’t respond well to them. I would recommend the product with a gentle caution to monitor your dog’s skin around the neck for the first couple of weeks.

Fleas are completely gone after 24 hours.
The best part, Fleas are completely gone after 24 hours. I have an extra small, small and extra large (4x in shurts) and the collars are easy to put on. No real oder. I wore gloves while putting on the dogs, dust will come off the collar. Extra small and extra large dogs do not notice the collar so I assume they are comfortable. Best part, no itching!

READ THE REVIEWS!!! May work one some dogs, BUT not ALL!
Please carefully and considerately read the reviews people! I read them but didn’t check the low rating ones. My Dachshund, my poor frankfurter, had a bad reaction to this collar! He would sit by me and whine the past 8 hours (by the time I noticed it was the collar it was only on him for about 24 hours at that point). He didn’t want to move just was in pain and would scratch often. Making me check his ears to make sure they were clean and didn’t have any infection. Which by the way his ears were squeaky clean! My husband noticed the excessive scratching and I looked and it was in fact red and very angry looking (mind you his short little feet couldnt reach the welt, because the welt is on the front of his neck). Also I will add that the collar was loose enough and wasn’t tight at all. I purchased 6 collars cause I have 6 dogs. No one else has had a reaction yet but we are monitoring closely. Wish the packaging had big warning letters to closely monitor your pets with this collar. All in all please keep a close eye on your dogs and if they seem in pain please be check their neck right away! (I did give my dog Frank a bath immediately, as well as but antibiotic ointment to help him heal faster.) just beware!
