The cat(s) chose 'them'.They chewed through my OEM one (that came with the phone) rendering it useless, so I ordered two more here.I like 'em; they really ARE the exact HTC ones (even if they hadn't had the HTC sticker on the cords), because they DO both charge AND sync, so...they're ferreals.So, why mention the cat?1) To spice up 'yet another' review of a VERY affordable, 'no-brainer', product, and;2) To send out a subtle reminder to those with pets (and I guess kids with sharp incisors), that these things aren't made of a titanium-rubber hybridized magical memory plasti-metal--they're rubber and wire--and I put mine into drawers when I'm not using them, now that I went 'without' a good one (like these) for a month.If you want to let your cat LIVE, and in harmony with your 'stuff', here's one item you can't leave out.Feel free to test me on this: Just set [anything priceless--but for the sake of this trial, your charger cable] out on a table or countertop right next to a big, heaping dish of [your overpriced, fattening, odoriferous cat food here], then drag out kitty from his 'hiding place', place [it] gingerly on a countertop, and then just lightly touch your charger cable (for some cats, even looking at it will do).Odds are, your obese, clunky, American-ized cat will do the same as mine, and pounce on this this intimidating, other-worldly, yet subtly-mundane, little thing-y, as surely as if it were MADE of catnip and concentrated mouse-DNA.See? Now you'll have to get out your CAT's credit card (AGAIN!) for your next order (Good luck seeing if 'kitty' is 'kosher' with THAT)!Or invent a 'shark-mail' aerosol spray coating (that doesn't cause cancer)--then you're safe (good luck with THAT, too, BTW).

I've read many poor reviews about these but I have yet to have any problems. Not sure if they are actually genuine HTC (I order from CCMaccessories) but they seem to do the trick. I've ordered probably a couple dozen by now. As the price has doubled over the past year it's probably a good time to perform some benchmarks (and perhaps tear one apart test one).CCMaccessories sends them quickly, within a few days or so through the USPS.EDIT: these have worked for many mobile devices/etc until trying them on more advanced mobiles (such as the Galaxy S series & such) - they do not perform well on any of these more modern devices. For instance I can use an old Samsung or even an old Motorola charger that I have to charge my Galaxy S4, but these cable perform/charge at a very reduced rate (no matter if I plug them into a 1 or 2 amp charger). I stick by my review when using these for older devices. As I never got around to testing data transfers, and I still use them I will change my rating to a 4 instead of 3.

The HTC branded USB cable is just a cable. Really not much to say here. I bought it as a package with a wall charger. Price was reasonable and it works. What else can be said?(EDIT) I got a bad rating for my review because I didn't measure and report on the length of the cable. I also failed to have the coating tested for lead and verify that it was plenum rated. I leave that to the seller to determine. If the cable works and it was able to reach from the wall to my phone (or other device) then I guess it was long enough to do its job. I would estimate it to be about 3'-4' long although I have no frame of reference and I'm too lazy to pull out a tape measure. The cable works. It works to transfer data and it works to charge my device. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.

This product is exactly what it claims to be. It feels like a high quality cord and works perfect. I got it for use with my Kindle after giving my grandpa my spare. Couldn't really ask for anything more for a cable.The real purpose for the review was of the seller: Seller1ON1. The cable shipped and arrive quickly, I think it was about 4-5 days total but when it showed up it said postage was due. It was only $1.05 so I paid it and filed a claim through amazon with the seller since it almost doubled my total price, cheap as it may be I had picked this option over some others that would have been cheaper otherwise. Within 24 hours I heard back and a refund was processed. They apologized for the problem. As far as I am concerned it was the best customer service I could get in that situation, it was quick, no questions and everything was made right.

Working. A bit shorter than my original which is a bummer but other than that looks and operates just like the original cable. Works in my laptop for data transfer, works in my car for charging and works with the original 110 plug for home charging, works just as fst from what I can tell. Happy with product, delivery, packaging. Would buy one again.It was a bit more expensive than others but the Amazon reviews made it difficult to determine which USB cables people were unhappy with since it seems the pictures/descriptions can reflect multiple suppliers, very confusing Amazon, the distributor should be included w/o me having to remember or go back and look at who I bought it from. Should automatically be included in this automatic reminder to do a feedback. So I picked the product based on distributor feedback. Happy with the product I received.

Which, it might be. I'm not very certain here.I bought my HTC Inspire 4G back in March 2011. From then to about Mid-November, I carried it and the cable with me to work every day. Rough use led to chaffing on the Micro-USB end, which didn't affect the cable's ability to charge at all but I knew it eventually would.I bought this one with a little trepidation, having read the reviews here. It works perfectly fine. I only bought one, and it (so far) hasn't given me one issue. My phone charges and syncs perfectly fine, no faster or slower than before. It arrived packaged in a bubble-wrap lined envelope with no obvious damage to the envelope or cable, and it arrived quickly.I'm pleased with this purchase, and I'll probably buy another one from this vendor when the time arises, which will be more due to me being rough on my belongings than the cable's quality.
