Before and after buffing
When I initially painted my end table legs I was disappointed there was barely any sparkle. As you can see the two end table legs on the left side. I also bought the hemway buffer specifically for this glitter additive. Let me tell you this was what I wanted. I am very pleased. So for those of you who are discouraged about the glitter coverage, just buff it and you will get what you expected. I think this will look even better with a clear coat of Minwax polycrylic clear gloss.

EXACTLY what i wanted
I absolutely had to write a review of this product after scouring the reviews of this, and other, glitter paint additives, for weeks before biting the bullet.I just painted one "glitter wall" in my daughter's bedroom and I'm beyond pleased. I was so worried after reading so many reviews that this was going to he disastrous, but instead I ended up with EXACTLY what I wanted. We added the one packet of gold glitter to 6 cups of sherwin williams CASHMERE paint (in the same color that the technichally "finished wall" was already painted in- "lighthearted pink" if you're interested). I'm mentioning this because if I had to guess this is where a lot of people go wrong. DO NOT USE CHEAP PAINT ON YOUR WALLS...EVER. It will give you a hard time and it will likely end up looking as cheap as it was. So anyways, from mixing in the glitter to one coat finished took us under 45 minutes (my husband has to cut in for me ....no ladders for people 8 mos pregnant with twins). I'm no professional. I painted my first wall 2 weeks ago when we first moved into our new house. I thought I had a super awesome chance of screwing this up OR that the glitter wouldn't even show up. So many reviews stated that the glitter will clump or it'll be hard to apply evenly. Not. At.All. it went on like a dream....and the glitter! It shows up perfectly! Not like something dipped in glitter...but like a shimmering perfect canvas! Exactly what i wanted. And remember, I didn't use a clear coat but mixed it into pink paint. I haven't even buffed it yet ...and I may not....because it's perfectly shimmery. I absolutely can't wait for my 7 yr old to wake up and see it.I absolutely reccomend this product (and sherwin williams cashmere paint ;) )

Works great if used correctly.
The media could not be loaded. Its pretty good, in the past I've used granite dust which mixed with paint easier, but like others suggest you have to mix in the tray during second coat. If you are wanting a major glitter effect this isn't the product this will give you a twinkle effect. I loved my results....

Maybe try other glitter pain manufacturer on Amazon? Use clear paint?
I used an entire package for less than 1/2 a wall. It was mixed in with white paint and no glitter was visible once painted, it just looked like dark streaks or shadowing. I contacted customer service for a refund and they told me that you need to sand the wall a bit after application. They didn't want to issue a refund.I did as they said and a little bit of glitter came through. I would not use this product and mix it in with any colored paint. If I were to try this again it would be the other manufacturer of this glitter paint that you see on Amazon (they might be more open to making things right), and mix with CLEAR paint.

worked like a DREAM!
First of all, let me say that I ready SOOOO many reviews on so many different products before I decided to take a chance and get this stuff. We used it just like another reviewer(who had success) did. First, don't buy cheap paint! Get a paint with a primer in it! We did a base coat of just the paint with no glitter additive first. Then the fun began! I measured 6 cups of paint into a seperate bucket, and poured in, little by little, the glitter. The entire packet. Then, I even added half from another packet of the same glitter. We painted it on and let it dry, REALLY DRY. Then we buffed with the Hemway buffing pads. Yes, it was work, but it was worth it! The amount of glitter on the wall is INSANE! I couldn't get a picture or video to even do it justice, but everyone that has seen it in person LOVES IT. Most importantly, my daughter LOVES it.

Hard to Work With. Advanced DIY
The only reason I didn't give this one star is because I feel there is a way to properly use it efficiently, it's just not an easy DIY project. It definitely requires some experience working with the stuff to get a technique going. So don't dive into your kid's walls right away. Read all the instructions and FOLLOW THEM. If you're painting walls, DO NOT use a brush. It leaves weird streaky gray marks, pictured. The roller makes it look too light but trust me, and the package, do light coats, not thick ones. If you put too much glitter in the paint it makes the paint thick and clumpy, which is where I messed up. I only had a small amount of paint left, but luckily I only did one portion of the wall. Sigh.

Awesome Effect!
The directions say good for up to 2.5 liters of paint. I slowly stirred in one package of silver glitter into one gallon of paint.WOW!!Adding more of this would make the room look like a disco ball! No matter where you look, there are subtle pops of glitter. I had read reviews where people had to sand their walls to bring out the effect. I mentioned this to my Wife, and she felt we had enough sparkle without sanding.I don't know if this makes a difference, but I only use really good paint. In this case, Behr 1 coat paint and primer from Home Depot in a Satin sheen. I take my time mixing the glitter into the paint, probably taking 7-8 pours to get the single package into the paint.I've used a Valspar glitter additive in the past (which I can no longer find) that worked well, but their directions said to use within 3 days, so the glitter wouldn't become swallowed up by the paint. I kept this in mind with this product.A great product, fun subtle effect, & better price than what I had used in the past.Looking forward to trying more colors!

Incredible glitter! :)
This product is amazing! I added it to a 2.5 liter tub of purple paint and stirred it in before rollering it on to my dining room wall. It gives great, even coverage and sparkles so much just after one coat on a white wall. I am planning to do another coat when I get the time but it doesn't really need it, I just want to make sure I haven't missed any bits around the edge where I did the cutting in. I would definitely recommend this product but do advise you make sure you read the instructions properly and would not advise you add the whole packet to any less than 2.5 liters as it would make the wall too rough and glitter overload!

Top !!!!

Extrem Glitzer...sehr schön am Abend.......
The media could not be loaded.
