Looks Awesome!
I applied the Rock-Solid Metallic Blue to a small craft room off my garage and it came out fantastic. The room is 80 sq. ft. and I used two kits (100 sq. ft. – 125 sq. ft.).My shopping list – two epoxy kits, GlobMarble roller cover, spiked sandals, squeegee, anti-skid grit, de-greaser, masking tape, plastic drop cloth, sandpaper, chip paint brush, mineral spirits, one gallon paint pail.1) With a putty knife and sandpaper, I went over the floor and scraped up all the junk I could. I sanded out the rust spots and other discolorations. I didn’t do any filling or leveling. The floor was in pretty good shape.2) I scrubbed the floor with degreaser and a long-handled scrub brush according to package directions.3) I used one of the packages of acid etch included in the kit. Followed package instructions, except I didn’t use a watering can. I just dipped the floor brush in the bucket. Dried the floor for a couple of days with a space heater and fan.4) I masked the walls with about a foot of plastic drop cloth all around the base. I used Frog Tape to make a clean line. It didn’t come out totally clean. I guess Frog Tape only works with latex paint.5) I mixed up the first Rock-Solid kit using just the stir stick (no power mixing). I didn’t put in the anti-skid grit at this point. With the spiked sandals on, I poured out a line of epoxy along the first wall. Used the paint brush to get into all the corners and edges. Then, I spread the epoxy using the squeegee on a long handle. Then rolled with a long handled roller. (Because of the bad reviews, I didn’t use the roller cover in the kit). One kit covered the 80 sq. ft. fairly well, but there was quite a bit of concrete showing through.6) Applying the first kit took about 45 minutes, then I immediately mixed up the second kit (still no grit). I went back to the first wall and poured the second coat right on top of the wet first coat. This time the squeegee was scuffing through to the cement, so I just used the roller. The second coat was pooling nicely and spread well with the roller.7) I went around and pulled the masking tape out of the wet epoxy. Then, I used a saltshaker to apply the non-skip grit to the wet epoxy only in the high traffic areas. It didn’t come out super gritty, but it seems okay.8) Cleaned up the roller frame and long handles with mineral spirits. Threw away everything else. Went around and touched up the wall paint.9) It came out great, but there are definitely some blemishes. There are four or five pock marks where sweat off my forehead dropped into the wet epoxy. I rolled over them, but they still left a bubble. Wear a hat or bandanna. Also, when I was removing the masking tape, some sheetrock crumbles got into the epoxy. Some other small debris appeared mysteriously. Maybe it got pulled up out of the crevices.10) I live in a condo and the neighbors complained about the fumes. Oh well. Otherwise, it was a great improvement!

Gird Your Loins for a Project that Will Piss You Off
This is a solid product, but I wish the instructions were better. If you buy this product the results would be greatly improved if you follow some points of wisdom.1. Buy more than what you think you will need. I originally bought 4 kits for a wide single car garage; i ended up using 6 and could have probably used half of another to do some touch ups (you can reapply).2. Prep the concrete well. Any holes and divots will show through by a wavering and/or a discoloration in the finish. Ideally you should probably have the concrete refinished professionally before ever buying this product - this will give the best starting surface possible. But cost, its only a garage, etc, etc. And for god's sake don't use liquid concrete (in the bottle) to patch holes and cracks, it will show through no matter how thick the coating is.3. DO NOT mix this product with a paddle/rotor for a drill. It will mix well, but will aerate the product creating large air bubbles in the finish and they are now permanent! Use the stick in the kit.4. Apply a thin coat over the entire surface quickly then let dry. Don't worry about a finished product on the first wave. This will seal the concrete and hopefully prevent the air bubbles from step 3. Also, this product is much easier to apply over an area that is already sealed as opposed to dry concrete and you will get a more uniformed appearance with less effort. The best coverage will ALWAYS be where you just pored it. The roller will help spread it, but will also thin it out in areas you just covered. Transitions from one area of coverage to another will be obvious, be prepared to go over it again after it dries.5. Have extra supplies available, especially rollers. I had one snap half way through a poring due to the viscosity of the product and had to hand roll the rest with a broken handle due to the hardening time of the product.6. Although you are losing product IN the roller, don't try and save as much as you can to be spread out. CHANGE your roller (it comes in the kit) with every kit. The product hardens in the roller as well and makes future spreading more difficult as you go.Follows these words of wisdom and you won't regret it. Good luck!

Your results may vary...considerably
Customer reviews told me that this product didn't cover well. So, I ordered twice as much as I thought I would need. Then, I ordered twice as much again because it still didn't cover. Using 4x as much as recommended, it looks marginally good in some areas if the light hits it just right. I estimate that I would need to use 6x as much as recommended to make it look half way decent all over. You'll probably never get it to look like any of the pictures that advertise this product. A one car garage floor cost me $500 in materials and supplies to get a marginally good looking coating.

Love the gloss look. Hard to maintain.
I love the way it turned out. Very unhappy that the shine completly disapeared when I used a swifter sweeper wet mop to pick uo the light dirt. Now I have to figure out how to get the high shine back

Want to love it but….
I had a tough time rating this. The final look is brilliant! But I had challenges on the way. Paint spread easily but I had to apply double the amount I thought based on the prescribed sq ft. Then it dried with soft spots!!! Customer service could not explain why but sent another box to fix the spots. All is good now, but it does scratch a little. Very durable except for scratches.
