Have not yet done a full setup.
My initial impression of this inverter is great. I have only set it up in my basement for testing and setup. I have not yet connected Solar panels to it. Overall It seems of good quality, sure it's Chinese, but I would not call it junk. Setup and quality seems as good as EG4. This is UL certified and works as I expected it to so far. 5000 Watt inverter is great so far.I got this to setup at my off grid tiny house. I'm just going to use a single All in one, and just 110v. I have 2 48 volt Ecoworthy (budget) server rack batteries, and overall I'm impressed.I will update the review if I have any problems, but the initial setup with AC in and AC out and Batteries was great in my test lab. It's going to provide me a lot more power than what i have today, using Ecoflow (river pro) and a 2nd off brand (1000 watt) solar inverter. When I set this up I went through every setting to make sure it was as desired. I think if you Ground and have a single neutral bond, and proper breakers in the system it will work great for many years.I matched this system with 5 - 460 watt bi-facial SungoldPower solar panels. I won't be setting this system completely up until spring, but Overall I'm pretty happy.

Easy install with some knowledge of electrical systems.
Just got this unit and have it wired into a 100 amp breaker box for garage. Have used it for 3 days on just solar charging so far. Have put loads of 1500 watts on it and no issues. Have been testing on my critical loads panel and no issues. I really like the simplicity of these all in ones and the Sungoldpower unit has been a good 1st impression. I will try to do an update in coming months to how the performance of unit is going. My unit is the 24v 3000 watt system

Excellent for starting and running AC Motors
I have watched a lot of Youtube video reviews of DC-to-AC inverters. Most show someone running an LED light or hair dryer - basic resistive loads with very little surge current. This is my 2nd inverter purchase from Amazon, my first from Sungoldpower. I reached out to them prior to the sale and they responded with a link to a 5000W inverter/ charger what was reasonably priced. I returned the first unit from a different vendor after it failed to start a 1HP motor that I wanted to run from my 48V battery. The SP5048 arrived quickly in perfect condition. I studied the online manual prior to its arrival and determined that for simple battery powered inverter operation, it was 'plug-and-play'. I wired a duplex outlet on a short piece of Romex wire, attached the battery and turned the unit on. First time -- panic -- nothing happened. However, it takes about 15 seconds or so of silence to turn the screen on and cycle the fans. Takes a little bit getting used to, but understandable as there's a lot going on inside this box. I plugged in a HD extension cord and started trying out motors in my barn. First up, a small bench grinder -- no problem. Then a 12" bandsaw -- no problem. Then the upright air compressor with a large capacitor start motor. No problem. WOW! I watched the current output increase as the tank pressure increased which increases the load on the motor. I switched the motor off and then back on -- under load. There was a very brief voltage sag; however, the motor started and continued to run with issue and without inverter alarms. The variable speed fans were quietly running at a low speed pulling air in from the sides and pushing warm air out of the bottom. A load of 1700 Watts was indicated. This exceeded my expectations. The Sungoldpower inverter has the ability to daisy-chain together for more capacity or provide split-phase output (e.g. 240VAC). It is also a MPPT solar converter and a pass-thru AC uninterruptible power supply with switch-over in 10 msec. I can see this unit being used for a variety of purposes which really improves the value proposition for the expense of purchasing a 48V 100AH battery and a high-end inverter.

This thing is pretty terrible.
This thing is pretty terrible. No way to hook it up to a phone without internet connection, and even then it's dicey. Draws a 5.12kwh battery down within a week - most systems I build are self sufficient and with solar never draw down to zero. This one has a really draw when sitting even though it says it doesn't, wish I could turn the inverter off while letting the solar work (to keep it efficient), but it's only all on or all off. Very clumsy to set up the parameters, and once the batteries are low too low, even with low voltage disconnect set at a higher rate, it will still allow for them to deplete, will absolutely not charge them (even with shore power). Have to plug in a different charger directly to the batteries to get them up to a certain level before this inverter/charger will start working again.
