Got my spindle today and it's beautiful. Perfect shape! The seller has rethought their packaging and it was so well packaged. They put a hard plastic thing over the hook for protection. It will be wonderful for when I'm traveling to protect the hook then too. The entire spindle was wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a pretty blue satin carry bag. Just incredible how well protected it came!The spindle is so well made and so pretty. I can't wait to get started with it!

As a new spinner, I find that the feel and ease of this spindle helps me too develop a feel for the process. I've been knitting for most of my life and recently my daughter began raising sheep. I felt compelled to learn to spin. Using the right tools is always a good place to start.

Bought this spindle for my wife to try supported spinning. Just unscrewed the hook from the end and rest it in a wooden bowel.

Well made. Sturdy, heavier spindle. Great for spinning thicker yarn and plying. Very pleased with my purchase!

The media could not be loaded.  I am an experienced spinner. I’ve been spinning over 20 years. Looks great, nice weight, but completely unusable because it is so out of balance. Zero stars. I understand that spindles do wobble, especially when unloaded. I have other spindles. But this one has an inconsistent, lopsided wobble that is so bad it is impossible to load. I can't hold the fiber far enough away and/or keep the spindle from banging into me to even get a few yards on it. Not a happy camper.

This is a beautiful spindle. The finish is lovely. The spindle is well balanced, spins true and is a joy to use. It arrived in an attactive storage bag. However, the spindle was shipped in a padded envelope with no additional protection. When my spindle arrived the hook was bent at a 90 degree angle to the shaft. My first thought was to return it, that it would be unusable. After allowing the spindle to warm up to room temperature, I started to gently straighten the hook. I was able to do this without any tools, just using my hands to remold and straighten the hook with multiple small adjustments to avoid breaking it. After I straightened the hook, I was able to spin with ease. My recommendation is that the seller place the entire spindle in a cardboard tube, then a padded envelope or box to better protect it during shipping.

This arrived sooner than expected & in excellent condition. I haven't had a chance to 'take it for a spin yet' but others in my Spindle Groups have said it was an excellent choice!
