Great base for a cheap build, stabilizers are decent even when left unlubed
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for a cheap base for a personal build the housing came fine not damaged nor worn however the cable included was broken not that much of a hiccup for me as I have plenty of Type C cables laying around however good to mention. Apart from the cable this is a perfect choice for a beginners/budget build. 9/10 for sure.

Keycap interference.
The keyboard is great if you want to build a mechanical keyboard for the first time. It is easy to disassemble and build and has a knob in a nice format. I experienced some keycap interference in the corners of the board since the holes made on the board are rounded, but this is no deal breaker for me and I don’t notice it much (you may not have the same issue dependant on the keycaps you use). I would still recommend.

OK kit with a few problems
So the board overall works great except the volume nob as it will not register input when turned at quicker than a steady speed. The board also has input delay higher than other board that is not noticeable when playing shooters or simple moba. However it is very noticeable in rhythm games where it makes it almost impossible to hit notes on time. Keyboard does have 1000hz polling rate but the delay may drive people who play rhythm games away such as osu!. Keep that in mind.

Non-symetrical keycap acceptance- virus software
For some reason when designing this board they decided to isolate the major sections with a thick boarder which has resulted in an annoying case where Ctr, Win and Alt cannot be symetrical as the left side accepts keycaps larger than the standard alphanumeric keycaps- as the keycap set I bought has symetrical modifyer the right ctr, alt and menu keys just dont fit becasue the switch slots are too close- whcih has resulted in me having to bodge together keycaps that are the right colour and size (from the unused numpad set I have) this will likely be avoided if you just buy one of their keycap sets as they do tend to include more than the set I bought. While this issue will only arise if you pick a keycap set like I have (Drop Skylight Series in Valiant colourway for anyone wondering) where you have two 1.25 length keycaps- it is a highly frustrating issue which you will hopefully not have if you are reading this.As a aesthetic sidenote, if you are going to pick this in black and plan to go for a dark keycap set- the plate for the keys being white can be quite obvious and may be offputting to some (its more obvious without the RGB)As other reviews have mentioned, the software on the official site is flagged as a virus by most antivirus software, as such I will not be reviewing it to its fullest extent.

The best key for your money
I purcahse this kit months ago, as a mechanical keyboard construction experiment, and what I made from this kit is the most incredible keyboard. I added some blue switches and some budget keycaps and used this keyboard with my Mac Mini and now I can type with anything else. The only limitation I can think of is that there is no software for the Mac to customize certain features.

It’s nice but gives your PC a virus
I use this for general computer use as well as gaming. Included with this is the PCB, frame, and some additional foam padding to help with that beautiful sound when typing. This keyboard is okay for the most part. There aren’t any stands on the bottom to raise it up. The RGB lighting is really nice and has a lot different patterns and colours. My main issue with this keyboard is the software and drivers. When I download the correct software from the Epomaker website, Chrome blocks the download as it is malicious. I used Edge to download the same thing, it worked and I extracted the archive folder. My antivirus software prevents the exe file from running. I allow the file through my antivirus software and run it. My computer screen turns blue and I now have a virus on my PC from something I thought was keyboard drivers. It’s worth pointing out that the keyboard will work fine when it’s plugged in, but the drivers allow you to remap keys and make adjustments to the RGB lighting, which is a big reason why I wanted to build my own keyboard. So, in essence, the hardware is nice, the software is nasty.

Beautiful keyboard base - but will sadly be returning
This keyboard base has a lovely weighty feel, however EPOMAKER has an issue that means when you plug it in malicious software is automatically downloaded onto your computer, otherwise known as a Trojan, which is a backdoor software that can be used to steal information, it's also the same when you try and download software from their site.Note that you can use the keyboard without the software however it means you will have default RGB shift colours and you can't reprogram keys, as I use macros for work I will be returning the board, sad as it's a lovely feeling board but with the added issue of Trojans being installed on your PC just from plugging it in, it's a pass from me.
