Beautiful smoker!
First time I used it, my daughter said it was the best chicken she's ever had in her life! My simple first attempt was = chicken wings cut in half on the bottom rack seasoned with just salt and pepper, pork belly ( like thick bacon) middle rack, and asparagus tips ( also seasoned with simple salt and pepper), Camembert, and soft boiled eggs top rack, 8 minutes on high till included wood chips start smoking, cover and continued on high for 10 minutes adding water to outer ring. Turn off heat and left covered for exactly 20 minutes-Chicken perfect ( per my picky eater children) asparagus perfect, eggs were so flavorful they didn't even need my usual dash of salt.Cleanup was easy, just removed the aluminum foil I placed the wood chips on, and a quick rinse. Smoker arrived very well packaged in a double box with bubble wrap and paper in between. The inner box had multiple layers of cardboard between pieces. Very impressed with this smoker!

I bought one in New York. I have smoked veggies, shrimp and chicken. You can't do chicken and shrimp at the same time because the shrimp requires a shorter time. Also I would suggest you coat your chicken or shrimp otherwise they have no color but the smoke flavor is definitely there.I put my chicken on a grill plate for a few minutes after taking it out of the donabe. I also just added would chips in the donabe and set it on the stove for a couple of hours to fully season it with the smoke flavor and I just wiped it out and didn't wash it.. Now it has that built in smoked smell and flavor and you will only need a little bit of wood chips it at all.
