Mobile Universal Adapter, Charcoal, SlimLink Technology, Adhesive Mount for 3rd Party Phone Cases, MagSafe Compatible, Weatherproof Nylon Canvas, Works Mobile Accessories

I bought this to fix onto the back of my iPad Mini so that I can use it with my other Magsafe accessories. It turned out great - magnets are strong and the adhesive is pretty firm against my iPad case.

I have a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G. I wanted the Magsafe accessories, and there are only a few choices. I started out using Moment's magsafe case. It sticks to magsafe accessories REALLY well and charges very well also, but it doesn't have much protection for the phone. (Which really surprises me because it's supposed to be used on tripods, but whatever.) After I broke my S21's screen by dropping it while it was in the Moment case, I decided that I really wanted my tried-and-true Otterbox cases. So I bought the Commuter case. I've tried some of the "ring" products, but the steel just wasn't thick enough or whatever to have a good strong magnetic hold inside the case, and they didn't stick well to the outside. (and if truth be told, I still wasn't impressed with the magnetic hold on the outside of the case anyway). Then I bought this Peak Design adapter. Even though it says it's only for smooth cases, it's been sticking REALLY well to the otterbox case. I mean, I'm not sure I can get it off if I need to, it's on there so strong. And the magnetic hold to the Anker stand I have is very solid. Not quite as solid as the Moment case was, but still very dependable. I've got zero complaints when it's on the "Anker Wireless Charging Stand, PowerWave 2-in-1 Magnetic Stand" (pictured). It also works very well with the "Otterbox Performance Car Dash & Windshield Mount for MagSafe" car windshield mount. If you take the time to align the adapter with the location of the charging coil, it also will charge just fine. I used scotch tape to hold the adapter to the case in various places until I figured out exactly where to put it, then marked it with a black marker and peeled the sticker off and placed it. You will want to be careful, because once you stick it to the case, it's NOT coming off. I couldn't be more pleased. This is the only combo I've found that actually works. The Rokform case claims to be Magsafe compatible, but isn't. The ring adapters aren't strong enough. The Moment case doesn't protect enough. But this combo works.

I have purchased 5 of these Peak Design universal adapters so far. Really love them - especially to attach to the back of phone cases to make my phone compatible with Peak Design Mobile mounts. I have also attached to the back of my iPad Mini to mount it to a tripod. Truly excellent product.

Everything about this product hit the nail on the head except for my one issue. I really don’t like how the adhesive aspect isn’t really reusable more than once if you’re careful so you can transfer it to different cases when you decide to change to a new phone that requires a new case due to new phones having different sizes. You’re basically forced to buy a new one if you decide to switch cases. I wish Peak Design had an option to buy packs of adhesives that you can put on if you want fresh new stickiness like what 3M Tapes has for some of their double sided tape products, because paying for a whole other universal piece for each case or two puts unnecessary holes in your wallet.

Attached to the back of my iPhone 15 pro max. Looks fantastic, very slim and inobtrusive. Added bonus is that when the phone (in a speck case) is laid on the back, it rests on the adapter, not on the speck lens protector. The magnet is quite strong. I am waiting for the peak design mobile car vent mount with wireless charging to arrive (backordered) to test the entire charging system. I had worried about how the adapter would affect the aesthetic and bulk of my iPhone, if anything, it has improved. I have high hopes and will update! update: You don't need this adapter if your case is MagSafe compatible, as my speck case is. The peak design mobile car vent mount is finally installed, and my iPhone mounts solidly without the adapter. Also, the magnetic mount is a truly solid attachment, zero slipping. Super high quality, I would buy peak design every time.

Works well and the adhesive used is very strong. I have been using it for a few months now and I have no fear of my phone ever dropping while riding.
