Damaged my 2x6 railing. (See photos)
These would be great except for the fact that they are just a hair less than 5 3/8” wide and DO NOT fit on a 2x6 deck railing. Most people know that a 2”x 6” piece of lumber is in fact only 5.5” wide. This is industry standard in the US. As you can see in the photos, trying to install them left two indentations in my newly built deck rail which I am not happy about. They will be returned.

LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE
Showed a pair of brackets in picture with product description. Could not seem to find anywhere in the product description as to how many but mistakenly assumed the seller was accurately depicting the brackets and packaging in the pic. I ordered 3 (pair I thought). Got 3 individual brackets in 3 plastic bags. Turns out they weren't going to work very well anyway so back they go!

Just right size and weight
We will be using these for a 3rd year. They have been outside and have not rusted or chipped. They are lightweight enough for our railing and sturdy enough for hanging our hummingbird feeders or wave petunias. I have used two for a short tray and they worked fine.May buy more for the front door railing when our seedlings and propagated plants are ready to plant outside.

Does not fit as advertised
BEWARE description is inaccurate. These DO NOT fit on a 2x6 deck railing. If your railing measures more than 5.25" this product will not fit.

it does work
The brackets work nicely holding our flower arrangement. Would have rather had one the flower unit unit sat into rather than on top. Was not able to find really what we were looking for

Sturdy and easy to use.
Very easy to install and are versatile you can use for short or long boxes. Very sturdy I tried one set to see how they worked and bought several more and now enjoy all my planters hanging off my deck instead of sitting on the railings.

Disappointed
While the hook fits on the deck rail, the planter box which I brought based on the suggestion that the two worked together, does not accommodate the box - it it not sturdy and a strong window will knock it off. The box should either be wider OR the ledge for the box smaller in width.

Be aware the measurements are wrong, will not fit a 6" railing
