Have this antenna on a large mag mount at about 25 ft. atop a chimney with metal cap. It does great on the VHF and UHF bands. 10m a tuner is recommended. 6m same but a bit better. Sometimes when 10 is open this antenna works the world.

For the money this antenna has worked well for me. I used a Nano VNA to fine tune this antenna and it is less than 1.2:1 SWR on 70 cm, 1.1:1SWR on 2 meters, 1.4:1SWR on 6 meters, and less than 2.4:1 SWR on the ends and 1.2:1 SWR in the middle of the 10 meter band. Fantastic for such a small antenna. I have been using it on a pole in my backyard to hit repeaters in my area. The other thing is that on the GMRS frequencies this thing rocks as well at 1.2:1 SWR. This seems well built but I haven't mounted this on a vehicle yet. I will modify my review if it doesn't perform as it should. 4 stars since it hasn't been used mobile in a vehicle yet. UPDATE******* This antenna sucks as a mobile antenna. The antenna came apart while mounted on my jeep. there is a little slinky like spring inside was the only thing holding it together. We shall see if it still works. But knock it down another couple of starts...Still a great option for a home 4 band antenna.

First let me say I have a 4 door Wrangler & the antenna mount is between the trunk door and the spare tire carrier. I used some heat shrink cable to reinforce the antenna spring as well as the antenna being out of any path of the wind. I can say I hit 55 on my way to work today and all good antenna did not wobble all that much at all.The antenna appears to be slightly less sensitive then my Comet UHV-4 which broke. but with the conditions and my antenna placement the jury is still out on that. for ~ half the price of the Comet UHV-4 It is a good deal. Radio is a TYT TH-9800 PLUS which I have had for ~ 2 years with no issues.

The antenna came on time and was easy to assemble. The little allen wrenches that came with it were a waste of time, but it wasn't advertised to include them anyway. I'm getting an SWR of 1.2 consistently. I can't fuss.

The antenna physically worked and received/sent transmissions. However, the spring which holds the antenna straight up and down is not strong at all. It will not stay up at 55mph. AND the drill and tap for the set screws junk. I would silicone them in place but I have to take 2/3s the antenna off if I want to travel anywhere.Unfortunately, I am outside my return window nor can I contact the seller directly. So I’m hoping this review will help someone else out.
