Yes, they do look nice initially, adding a certain rustic 'farmhouse chic' appeal to my kitchen. However, upon close inspection, they seem to have been made by an overenthusiastic beaver who’d just learned woodworking from a YouTube tutorial.Now, onto the "airtight" silicone seals. I use "airtight" in the loosest possible way (pun intended). Frankly, the seals are about as effective as using a piece of Swiss cheese to plug a hole in a boat. In one of my jars, the lid and the seal appear to be going through a messy divorce, refusing to stay together.Let's be clear: if you're using these lids for any sort of canning purpose, I'd recommend having the number for the local pest control on speed dial. I used one for my homemade apple jelly, and let's just say, the fruit flies had a field day.
