Great coupler
Worked great to run an Ethernet cable under my crawl space and up into another room. I just mounted this into the floor in the corner of the room

Great for rack networking
Love these for networking RF racks. Ethercon jacks are difficult to work with when using standard RJ45 cables. These jacks solve that problem.

Very Well Made
These RJ45 pass-throughs are perfect for a situation where you don't want to use a standard RJ45 wall plate. In my case, giving a clean look to an ethernet punched through a pine tongue and groove wall. The mounting plate is some sort of metal which was a concern when purchased - had it been plastic, I knew I'd have to be much more gentle with the mounting screws. All in all a great product.

Good product and good quality
This worked very well for me. The only issue I had was the floor pockets I have are limited in size so having a RJ45 connector plugging into it was not possible. I needed to do some cutting, not ideal. But the product worked great!

The description of the product is not accurate.
I need a connector that will pass the shield from one cable to the next because I need shielded ethernet for an Ethercon connection I am making. I purchased several jacks from a different vendor and never tested them and spent hours making a distribution panel. Those jacks did not pass the shield. I went looking for a jack that specifically said it was for "shielded" twisted pair. The description of these jacks specifically say "shielded"; but I decided to buy only two and test them. They "do not" pass the shield and my test failed. The first picture shows the test and the word "shielded" is not present in the test. After looking at the jack, I could see nothing in the jack to connect to the shield of the cable. So I made a foil strip and fished it through the jack. Now when I plug a shielded cable in both ends, the test says "shielded" (picture three). These jacks are "Not" shielded - or they are not for STP cables - they may be shielded by some other standard; but not STP.
